Formed on Long Island in November 2006, comes a band
that plays a wide variety of music that Long Island
hasn't seen in years. Having ex-members from The Flaming
Tsunamis, The Fad, and The Vagabonds while borrowing
members from Spider Nick & The Maddogs, brings a new
sound, something fresh. Combining a traditional ska
sound fused with a new two-tone edge, mix it with some
reggae and rocksteady beats, comes Royal City Riot.
The band has enjoyed support from a loyal fan base in
its young age, and also seen stage time along side such
national acts as Big D and the Kids Table, Westbound
Train, Whole Wheat Bread, Brain Failure, The Toasters,
The Slackers, Satori and The Pietasters. RCR is planning
on releasing a CD and touring in the near future, so
keep your eyes open, and your ears listening.
