Influences
As all band members are composing, the influences are diverse. The major influences are brittish bands like Coldplay and Oasis. But our latest material is a bit of that track and comes from the current swedish indie-pop with bands like Tiger Lou, Convoj and the Plan. Finally there is a slight touch of the big sound of bands like Mew and Sigur Ros.
Sounds Like
On one hand, the spontaneity of Laakso, on the other the love for the big sound of Coldplay. Add to that, the minimalism of the early Velet Underground. Either you imagine that, or just dowload our songs.
The band Royal Modesty from Sweden, begun in 2002 as a music project called "The Primary Sound". The project seemed to workout well, and soon we started rehearsing our own songs for a CD. After playing minor gigs, we got a studio to record 4 of our best songs, and then made a CD which we called Disaster. After good response from media and audience, we continued making music and came up with our new style of music under the name Royal Modesty.
Royal Modesty now consists of 5 members and we play mainly pop music with great punch and variation. Our music may be described with soft guitar play combined with powerful organ, which delivers the Royal sound. Britpop, as some will call it, but influences are many.
