A full time musician born in Kansas and raised on the savannas of South Dakota, I now reside in Minnesota where I write and record songs, play drums and sing with Alfalpha Males, and make regular trips to Nashville to write and pitch material. I am the Twin Cities coordinator for the Nashville Songwriters Association International. I have have recieved honorable mentions in both the BMI and CMT/NSAI contests and some of my parodies "If You're Gonna Play in Fargo (You've Gotta Have a Shovel in the Van)" and "Vikings Yacht Club" have been heard on radio throughout the midwest. I have just released my new CD "Fields of Understanding" and I've posted a few of the songs for you to listen to. The CD is available at www.CDbaby.com/royholdren or you can download the songs on iTunes. Enjoy!
