Bio:

Playing the their own distinctive style of rockabilly, The Roy Kay Trio have been performing together since late 2001. Blending melody, rhythm and harmony, they have become a staple in the Northwestern US and played in many different countries including Germany, Spain, Sweden, Italy, England, Belgium, Switzerland and the Netherlands on several international tours.

They have also been featured at the world’s top Weekender’s including, The Rockabilly Rave (UK), Viva Las Vegas (US), The Rockabilly Rave (USA), Green Bay’s Rockin’ 50’s fest (US), Hemsby (UK), High Rockabilly (ES), Screamin' Festival (ES),Amsterdam’s D-Day (NL), The Summer Jamboree (IT), Waldorf’s Rockin' Rollin (DE), Rock n Roll Firestorm (DE), Red Hot and Blue (CAN), Hoorn Rock & Roll Sunday (NL)

At their home in the Northwestern United States, they have also played multiple times at the most prominent local festivals, including KEXP’s Rockabilly Ball, Northwest Folklife, Yakima’s Folklife, Pike Place Market’s Street and Centennial Festivals etc…

They have also released four full length CD’s. Wanderin’ Mind (2002) produced by Deke Dickerson and recorded by Kearney Barton at Kearny’s Audio Recording in Seattle, Knockin’ Em Back (2004) produced by Ashley Kingman and recorded by Wally Hersom at Joey Altruda’s Electro-Vox in Los Angeles, Rockaway Lonesome Moon (2006) produced by Axle Praefcke and The Roy Kay Trio and record by Axle Praefcke at Lightning Recording Service in Berlin, Germany and The Rhythm and Harmony of the Roy Kay Trio (2008) produced by The Roy Kay Trio and record by Roy Kay at The Madrona Ranch in Seattle, Washington.
