Welcome! This is the myspace location for North-Texas Songwriter Roy Lee Nelson. Roy Lee started his career in music as a rock guitarist/vocalist. For years, he had considered other avenues along which he could hone and display his talents as a writer as he has in rock music. As a Texas resident of many years and having been born and raised in Oklahoma, Country music naturally has long held somewhat of a fascination, and now Roy Lee is channeling energy into this new direction. Country songs with a decidedly edgy, energetic sound and feel, while still maintaining a connection to the basic tenets of Country, including good storytelling, set off by good musicianship and vocal performances. Essentially, straddling a line with "one foot in Nashville and the other squarely planted in Texas".
