The great American session drummer Andy Newmark once said he lived in "The land of the eighth note". Roy lives in the same town.(just behind the butchers). A beautiful place where its not the notes that you play that are important but the space between them. Roy has been placing his elegant grooves on peoples tours and records for a while now. So long in fact, that he thinks he knows how to do it okay now !! Artists ranging from Aretha Franklin to Ant and Dec have experienced these grooves first hand, on tour and in the studio. Never in one place for long he has carved a niche playing for artists all over the world and is as comfortable in a studio in a kibbutz in Israel watching a cow stroll into the control room(true story folks !!) as he is in the top studios of New York City where he lived and sessioneered for five years.
Rock, Pop, Acoustic/Roots, Gospel, Indie, Country, R&B, Electronica, French chanson, German Cabaret, Torch songs, Prog Rock. Every type of popular music that grooves Roy has worked on. (Well, it hopefully does when he's finished!!) You can find a full list of performers that have called upon Roys bag of groove tricks and any up-coming tour dates on his website (address above)
