Sounds Like
The Kinks in places, perhaps Belle and Sebastian, Wah!
Roy Moller: Speak When I'm Spoken To - available now from Book Club Records................
As Belle And Sebastian fans may know, Roy Moller has collaborated with Stevie Jackson on songs such as Seymour Stein (featured in the soundtrack of Hollywood hit High Fidelity), Chickfactor, Traveling Light, I Took A Long Hard Look and Portland Oregon. Another collaboration, Roy Walker, is named after Roy and his nocturnal roams around Glasgow. Along with his Belle And Sebastian connections Roy is a former member of Meth O.D. a band he formed with Golden Dawn frontman Rob Smith, and NME-lauded instrumental outfit The Wow Kafe.
ROYSTER ON VINYL
Roy's debut single Maximum Smile (Felicite, 2003), was co-produced by Stevie and also featured Belfast Bob Kildea on bass. Stevie & Bob also feature on Fermez La Bouche, Roy's summer 2005 maxi-single for Pickled Egg.
In addition to Roy's 7" singles, Second City Firsts, a collection of home demos entirely played & sung by Roy was released on the Heliotone label in Spring 2005.
Roy's debut album Speak When I'm Spoken To, released on Book Club Records, features remastered versions of standout tracks from Roy's acclaimed vinyl-only singles: the title track, First You Fall In Love, Maximum Smile & David Niven, plus seven new pop gems.
Roy's work has been described by Glasgow's premier indie disco The Winchester Club as "Shameless genius songwriting...60s influenced, killer melodies, proper choruses and hooks to make you wet yourself. Twice".

Hi Roy, I can't seem to figure out how to buy your records. Long ago I ordered Maximum Smile but the website for Book Club Records says they are on hiatus. I seem to be missing something. Help a girl out?
Good evening! I'll be starting a tour in the UK next week, and wanted to let you know.
You may have heard my guitar playing and not even realized it was me. I played with Buddy Holly, and when you listen to "It's So Easy" or "Heartbeat"...well, that is me.
We will play some of the Buddy Holly songs that i played on so many years ago, and a few more! I might even sing a couple.
I hope you can make one of the dates?
Best,
Tommy Allsup
