I'm a big kid at heart so anything that takes me back to my childhood like LEGO, Transformers, the Muppets, etc. Also I love video games from old-school Atari 2600 to the Nintendo DS and beyond (i.e., the Wii as soon as I can just walk in to a store and pick one up). I enjoy traveling and have been to Europe and Central America.
Music
Country, alternative, 80s pop, soundtracks, old standards, classical. I have an XM player and my favorite stations include 80s, 90s, US Country, On Broadway, The Blend, Lucy, and XM Pops.
Movies
The Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, Singin' in the Rain, Star Wars (original trilogy), Tombstone, The Muppet Movie, Terminator 2, The Godfather, Patton, Aliens, Casablanca, The Manchurian Candidate (original), West Side Story, E.T., Old School, The Sound of Music, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Little Shop of Horrors, Amadeus, Seven, Galaxy Quest, and much, much more
Television
Stargate SG-1, Family Guy, Lost, Heroes, The Office, Simpsons, Star Trek: TNG, Seinfeld, and pretty much any cheesy game show especially from the 70s or 80s
Books
I have a large stack of books that I intend to read like Guns, Germs, and Steel and Team of Rivals, but books I've enjoyed include Beloved, Dune, Rainbow Six, and Prey. I'm not usually a big comic book reader, but I did read Identity Crisis and the first 3 volumes of Astonishing X-Men as well as Buffy Season 8. I just finished The Last Sorcerers, a science/history book about the transition from alchemy to modern chemistry, and I'm working on Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin's first book in his "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.
About me:
