What THEY say
RPG
@ Bar,Co Swansea
It’s unlikely you’ve ever heard of RPG (www.myspace.com/rpgwales). If you have, you clearly spend a lot of time on Myspace, like I do. But give them time, and they’ll soon be on the right track to becoming one of the best classic rock bands to have ever graced Welsh venues.
They may only have been going as RPG for just over 5 months, but have already packed out Cardiff Barfly, continuing to bag other key venues along the way with upcoming gigs including a coveted support slot with ex-Iron Maiden vocalist, Blaze Bayley.
What makes RPG so intriguing though, is the amount, and nature, of name dropping they give. Since various members have worked with, supported or played alongside the likes of Motorhead, Saxon, Glenn Hughes and Funeral for a Friend (among others), you can expect ultimate professionalism. And given that their Myspace tracks have been mixed by Thunder means you can expect crystal production at the very least too.
With a voice better suited to massive arenas, vocalist G dons sunglasses and bandana tonight, charismatically belting out song after song. Their own impressive tracks, notably ‘Big Mistake’ and ‘Break Out‘, cram every corner of the room, as I wince at the decline in my hearing.
But who cares when you’re witnessing what could possibly be the band to surpass all other bands.
RPG are going to go far. I just know it.

Hey guys, how are you doing? Getting cold here in Canada. We had our first snow fall the other day, but it didn't stay thankfully. Won't be long before I am in England. So hope you are playing near where I am going. Dawn
