About me: I am proud to be an affiliate of the original Rational Response Squad started by a team of well known atheist activists who are tired of the role irrational beliefs have in our society. Like the folks who originally started this team of rational responders, I believe that we should live in a world where people need proof for the claims we are told we should believe.
We're looking forward to uniting folks on a local level who want to engage in activism and get together from time to time.
DISCLAIMER: The person/people hosting this myspace page are affiliated with the original Rational Response Squad, however we are not the original. Please keep this in mind when corresponding with me, and send a letter to the original RRS via their contact form should you choose to engage them directly.

TUNE IN FRIDAY NIGHTS AT 9PM EST HERE:
Who I'd like to meet: I want to unite with other people who aren't afraid to speak up about the dangers of religious belief. I want to meet people that understand it's good to respect other people, and sometimes the only way to do this is to show them why you disrespect the ridiculous and irrational things they believe.
The Atheist Network has been around for more than 7 years. Originally created by Jake Afterfaith.com and The Infidel guy, it has a large, tight knit and thriving atheist community, that never plays soft and never apologizes for it. The Atheist Network was created with the idea that only through HONEST exchange of ideas and information can we all break free of theistic influences. It's not a bashing board nor is it a brainiac board but rather a community of atheists as diverse as nature itself. We welcome all atheists to come and join the fun.

Thanks for adding me - here's to a Very Scary New Year! As you probably saw on my profile, I'm a horror novelist and short story writer with a new book out called NEEDLES & SINS. I hope you will check out my work -- you can read a free story from my book at www.johneverson.com/needlesandsins.htm.
I should announce that I am agnostic and not an atheist. I was just wondering how an atheist deals with the fact that we grow old and die. I think most people turn to religion because it makes them feel better about death and more comfortable with their own mortality. What thoughts do any of you have on this?
Hi! Thanks for the add! It's a pleasure to meet you. If you need anything at all or have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me using any of the below methods. My door is always open.
Wow man, it's awesome to know there's an RRS in Chicago. GROW FRIEND GROW !
I'm in Rockford, there's some pretty bad religious stuff here.. I swear theists are using Rockford as a means to infiltrate the Midwest @_@... any who. If you guys ever have any planned events, marches, pickets, etc I would be glad to drive to the area so long as I have a bit of notice.
