R. Scott Adams is a composer from Dallas, TX. He recently received his Master of Music in Composition from the University of Louisville. He also received his bachelor's from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY. He recently completed a symphonic poem for large orchestra entitled "Apokalypsis: The Throne Room" (master's thesis), and his current projects include a French song cycle for mezzo-soprano and piano, a soliloquoy for violoncello, and an unspecified recent commission for viola duet. He has studied with Ronald Holz and Marc Satterwhite, as well as attending master classes with Grawemeyer Award winners George Tsontakis and Gyorgy Kurtag. During his time at Louisville he was assistant to the editor in publishing a catalog of all of the past entries to the Grawemeyer Award in Music Composition, as well as maintaining a private composition studio of seven undergraduate students. He has been hailed as the "world's expert" on the Grawemeyer by the collection's curator.

Hey man, how've you been? I'm writing my thesis now, and I am curious as to what that pitch class set was and how you utilized it in the piece you played in seminar last fall. I think the aura it creates would be fitting for a particular section.
