On those days when you want to take a short break from murder and cocaine, you need to come build with me. Don't worry your pretty head; the cocaine will still be there when you get back and anyway you can have fun without it. It will only take a second for smart folk like you to read my bio, so let me tell you why I need to be your number one supplier (of new music).
I have been writing and producing Hip Hop for most of my life, but the bulk of my early work will remain in my archive until my Father starts bootlegging my High School era recordings. Besides my business savvy Father, my influences include producers such as RZA, Lionel Richie, Babyface, and Marley Marl and lyricists such as 2Pac, Big Daddy Kane, Chuck D, Nas, Kool G. Rap, and Rakim.
Allow me to introduce you to my current music and what I call “Adult Contemporary Hip Hop”or"I can have fun without you threatening my people and talking to me like I'm stupid" Rap." I’m a charming stranger, so you should trust me when I say “you’ll like it.” What I’m creating, and offering for a modest donation to the cause, is a brand of mature Hip Hop for those who would like something to replace or supplement the Kid’s Meal Hip Hop that dominates the mainstream. Like our lives, this music will prove to be multi-faceted.
(Yes, "multi-faceted." Miss me with your "grown and sexy" clichés and whatever preconceptions come with them.)
My 2005 CD, “….Louder Than Words” presents the smooth side of Adult Contemporary Hip Hop as it explores relationships with an eye towards rebuilding Black Families. We’re still having fun as you’ll experience with songs like “Windows Down” where I’m enjoying time with a lady friend in a way that doesn’t involve me yelling for a female dog to spread. No studio gangsters were shot in the making of the CD.
So in 2005 I brought you one sound; now here is something completely different for 2008.
My upcoming CD, or collection of MP3s if CDs are extinct by then, will be released in 2008. This new project is an upbeat soundtrack to the lives of real Men and Women who are enjoying themselves, and enjoying the fact that they have the power to do whatever they will in this world. Obstacles need to bow down. I'm confident, I'm having fun, and I'm not going to apologize for the fact that I'm going to continue to run circles around lazy jokers and overgrown children. If you are feeling yourself, and feel like celebrating how lucky you are to be you, pursue my new music like you pursue your goals in life.
