Yeah, once again RSL’s opponent managed to snatch a point in the final minutes of play to rob RSL of the taste of victory. But to headline the result of this game really misses the point of what RSL put on the pitch against Chicago. In truth, RSL OWNED the fire in this game. Our midfield was a tremendous improvement over previous years. While RSL continues to struggle in the final third, this was not unexpected given what they had to work with. Certainly with Deuchar only recently with the squad and Findley only just back from the U-23’s, we had to expect RSL to struggle a bit up top, frankly I’m a little surprised they put as many good opportunities together as they did. RSL tallied 17 shots, though only 8 were on goal. RSL’s use of Joy and Wingert on the outside created some great possession in the center of the park by overloading midfield pressure against Chicago, and forcing them to defend the width of the field. Williams looks as good as I have ever seen him play, combining well in the midfield. See full report here!

Pastorino: Whether blowing up RSL was worth it remains to be seen
On May 1, Real Salt Lake owner Dave Checketts summoned John Ellinger and me to separate meetings at the team's stadium construction offices in Sandy.
Neither conversation lasted long.
With his trademark decisiveness, Checketts asked for my resignation as the team's general manager, reassigned Ellinger and encouraged the team's then-captain Jason Kreis to retire and become head coach. View full article
That game at the HDC against the chivas was amazing. I was so glad I was able to go. RSL played with so much heart that game. They deserved to win and make it to the next round. Hopefully they play that well this weekend, and then I can see them play in the finals back here in California. I already have front row tickets, and RSL playing will just make the game all the better.
I came all the way from Ventura County, CA to watch the game last weekend, and I went to the May 2nd game against the galaxy. It was awesome, and RSL totally dominated. Too bad you guys couldn't pull off the win, it would have been sweet. I'm hoping Real makes playoffs, and that they play LA, because then I have a good reason to convince my mom travel back up there for the 3rd time this year.
GREAT GREAT game saturday night too bad we couldn't pull it off a tie is better than a loss though if u ask me LETS GO REAL (we are doing so much better this year)
Holy Crap!!! What a game last night!!! Real Boys playing their hearts out and coming away with a 4-0 win. Beckerman is a stud, second goal was a bullet. Awesome game guys.
