Dealing with the grind
Sometimes the key to success is staying alive the longest. When you are at sea, and your boat has capsized, it isn't always about being the best swimmer. At times it is simply having the will to keep your head above water, when it would be easy to say to your self my ship has sunk, I am lost at sea. I am tired. I will close my eyes, and sink. Instead, you continue to struggle towards the shore, because you have no stomach for the alternative.
In my mind, that resilience through tough times, to hold on and keep working even though the results arent what one hoped for is what makes a wrestler great. They have been cut and become calloused, but they are ready for war, because they have lost but not been defeated. Perhaps they won't ever be heroes, but they will be warriors.
Its hard for me to relate to a man with no scars. I have always admired the undefeated, but I don't understand them. I value their accomplishments, but they probably aren't sitting around searching the internet for hope right now. So, I am speaking to those of you who have sacrificed much and wonder if you still have the strength to sacrifice more.
Here is all the honesty I can hope to give you. Courage is most important not in the moment that great things are done, but in the millions of moments before, when your mind is fully aware that all the sacrifices you make may never lead to any great moments. It is perseverance, in these moments, that will allow you to become great.

Ask yourself are there still great things to be done. If so, keep your head above water and keep battling towards the shore.

Event: Club Fundraiser Event
Date: Sat, November 7, 2009

Club Fundraiser @ Meeks Lumber.

The event starts at 7:00 am till we finish the more help we have the sooner we collect and go home!

I need you all to help. I have paid a lot of your club fees and in years past maybe taken a few of you to a tournament or two. Please help anytime you offer would be appreciated.

The money we make from this event pays our fees for the year, as well as provides funds for one college grant and all expenses for our state events are paid. So this fundraiser is the most important of the year. Moms, Dads, aunts and uncles are all welcome to help.
I am currently looking for donations of hot dogs, soda and chips, So that we can BBQ on the day of the event. It would be nice to turn the event into as profitable an opportunity as possible.
