About me: You will find pictures of animals available for rehoming in the picture section of our profile and in the slideshow below - I don't need rehoming but thanks for your kind offers :-) We rehome within a reasonable distance of Walsall, if you're not sure if you are close enough, send me a message with some information about yourself and where you live.
Here are The Bunny Boys that are looking for new homes...
Like every other RSPCA branch in England and Wales, the Walsall and District Branch is an separate registered charity to the National RSPCA. We are totally self funding, which means that all the money we spend on animals within the Walsall area, must be raised by us in the Walsall area. The Branch is run by a committee of trustee's who oversee the branch activities. There are no paid members of staff within the branch, everyone works on a voluntary basis.
Because we do not have an animal centre at Walsall, all of our animals are in foster care. We rely 100% on volunteers to look after our animals until they get a new home. Due to these limitations we only are able to rehome cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. Our volunteers are the backbone of the branch and without them, the branch could not function. If you are interested in doing any type of volunteering, get in touch and we can send a pack out to you with all the current volunteering information. Amongst other things we need people to aid us in our campaigning work. We campaign on national and local
issues such as letter writing to councils or companies, and also by distributing educational material to local libraries and public places. All our fundraising work is done by a group of volunteers in their spare time. Fundraising activities include tin shakes at supermarkets, craft stalls and much hard work! We are constantly looking for volunteers to train to perform home visits with prospective adopters of our animals. We always perform a home visit prior to any animal being rehomed, so home visitors are vital to the branch.
We never put a healthy animal down, we wait for the right home to come along rather than take a life. We home visit potential homes for any animal to ensure the animal will be a loved pet and well cared for. All the animals leaving our care will be microchipped, vaccinated and most importantly neutered (vouchers are issued if the animal is too young). We are a rescue that really cares about our animals. As none of us are paid to do this, the dedication and commitment of our volunteers is obvious and apparent to anyone that becomes involved in the branch.

Who I'd like to meet: Animal lovers and people who would like to get involved with and support the branch.
I'm going to enjoy the warm temperatures today, the weather forecast does not look good for the rest of the week. The unseasonably warm weather we were having was a real treat. :):)
Too much catnip...or is it the flashing lights? Probably, the lights. When I'm out somewhere and there are flashing lights it annoys the heck out of me. I would not have done well during the disco era. hehehe :):)
Not going to wish you a flash free day, that sounds naughty. Wishing you a great day.:):)
PS: I want to inform you that I developed a new Fundraising System where you can set a fixed or variable Goal, and you can promote your Fundraising Project inserting these banners in your MySpace, blog or website:
O God, enlarge within us the sense of fellowship with all living things, our brothers the animals to whom thou gavest the earth as their home in common with us. We remember with shame that in the past we have exercised the high dominion of man with ruthless cruelty so that the voice of the earth, which should have gone up to thee in song, has been a groan of travail. May we realise that they live not for us alone but for themselves and thee, and that they love the sweetness of life.
Isn't this a cute fella. I wonder what he's thinking about as he gazes off into the distance. He looks so sweet, wouldn't you just love to give him a big hug and kiss, hehehe. :):)
Wishing you a weekend with lots of hugs and kisses. :):)

SILENT BUT DEADLY. Did you know that farmed animals produce more greenhouse gas emissions (18%) than the world's entire transport system (13.5%)? Or that nitrous oxide from animal manure is around 300 times as damaging to the climate as carbon dioxide? Or that methane ( cow and sheep farts/burps to you and me) has 23 times the global warming impact of carbon dioxide? MAKES YOU THINK DOESN'T IT? The only genuine way to cut down these harmful emissions is to stop eating meat. To find out more visit www. vegsoc. org/environment , or order your free booklet on 0161 925 2000, green@vegsoc.org. It's not just a lot of hot air.
