March of 2007 former band members Ian, Matt, Mike, Scott, and Thomas joined forces and took the first of many steps toward becoming the very driven and unique metal band known as Resurrection Through Adversity.
The guys soon began writing and rehearsing in the dining room of Scott, Thomas, and Ian. The band was quick to the duty of trying out vocalist to accompany them on their musical crusade. Scott's longtime friend Sid was the first to tryout, although not up to par on his vocal skills, Sid fit very nicely into the keyboardist position. Soon there after 3rd guitarist, due to health reasons decided to part ways with the band.
Resurrection Through Adversity ventured on rocking faces and continued writing hard hitting riffs and soul filled melodies. Even through the lose of Thomas the guys became a band of brothers, complimenting each others playing and personality.
Deciding to move rehearsal to more a sufficent spot R.T.A began practicing in the dining room of, long time friend of the band, Amanda. Bassist Mike after long deliberation soon parted ways with R.T.A to pursue an acedemic career in astronomy and through some stroke of luck, 4 days later the first and only audition to replace Mike came Tommy. Tommy's thunderous four stringing fit perfectly in the mix and with out missing a beat R.T.A continued to persue a vocalist and write more material.
After moving rehearsals once again to Tommy's studio, a couple of months later a vocalist was found. After really working on his vocals, Sid a new and more powerful vocalist, was exactly what the band was looking for. With the keyboardist position open, Erika Smith stepped into the fold, completing the lineup.
Ready to build their fan base with gutwrenching vocals, screaming guitar, hard hitting bass, elegant and melodic piano, and uniquely styled drumming. This is Resurrection Through Adversity.

so guys about the show at the cra in fairview...looks like we are going to do it at the fairview lion's club nov 3rd...doors at 5 show at 6. 5 dollars a person. you guys are still in right?
