TO BEGIN: So, I started my music in September 2004 and began studying music theory, singing bass under the amazing John Dexter and teaching myself how to play guitar. I got interested in the styles of Satriani and Vai so I began getting into playing leads and solos but I'm ever the perfectionist so I will always be crap in my eyes so don't expect any shred epics any time soon!
Soon afterwards I got into rhythm styles and I've been trying to get a balance between leads and rhythm. Also around late 2005 I heard about 7-String guitars and I finally got to hear them on Linkin Park's "With You" and as soon as I heard that chorus riff I knew I was hooked! And I haven't looked back since! Leads and Rhythm in one guitar? Kickass! I am also an active member of sevenstring.org under the username ZeroSignal.
NOW: After messing about in several bands and generally acting the maggot I've decided to pack it in and produce and write my own songs and I'm still looking for a band or people who just want to jam and write modern music.

Many thanks for your kind comments. Some good music on your player too. I've have more music and songs here: http://chromefly.vox.com if you want to hear more Ebow. I also have an Ebow concerto written for me but alas no funding.
well i think you could play some gigs even with that stuff :) maybe not fibbers kind of place but some small more atmospheric pub :) good luck with your exams!
Truth be told, I got uber-sidetracked and haven't done much work on it short of noodling the few riffs from the song that I've gotten down (the outro solo being one of them).
I haven't gotten a chance to play, write or record much; mostly because I've been on vacation with Amanda. *lovingly emphatic sigh*
I've been quite a bit of rethinking on my live rig, and really wanting to translate that into my recording (amp line out->recording interface->impulses). I've got a couple of really simple riffs and covers I'm planning on recording in the coming weeks.
As for the rest of the stuff, when I get back to NY I'm planning on finishing my pickup winder and I've got a few unwound pickups to experiment with.
The rest of the business stuff has been on hold, as I was planning on the trip and finances have been brutal. When I get back, though, I'm planning on a spending some serious $$$ on tools, etc. to finish some projects I've working on.
If I could get a hang drum with frets I'd be impressed. Nah I've the Banjo and Appalachian Dulcimer to keep me busy, also just had a blast on the Cello which is also pretty nice sounding. Again, shame about the lack of frets! How's writing going?
its ok men.. i want to meet a person like you.. ur tunes is so amazing. i want to be so good like you.. i need some practice. nd tnx for your kindness =D
"The Balls Are Inert" will probably be developed into a complete song, and my "Master's Apprentices" cover will be extended to the beginning of the clean vox... maybe all the way until the end *10+ mins. :spock:*. I'm dying to cover "How Could I" but the partwork in that song is stupid hard, so who knows when that'll happen.
Yeah, dropping the slide and seeing how that sounds harmonizes is probably not a bad idea... anything that helps to clean 'er up is desirable. Also... vokills?! :agreed:
You really did a great job with this, and I love your original work so the kind words are well deserved. Keep it up.
Yeah, seriously man... a really really great start, and it won't take much polishing to get it tight. :yesway: BUT... I can also understand wanting to take a week to mull it over. That's where both my songs are right now, actually.
Are you referring to the first two notes of the opening lead phrase, at 0:10-0:11? If so, it might be that your notes sound too sharp when you slide up. On the original recordings, the slide sounds really natural and almost slow, and the only difference on yours is that it's a little more abrupt/harsher, so it sounds almost like a hammer-on and a little sharp. I'd soften up my left AND right hand on those two, and MAYBE check the intonation on that note for the hell of it. Personally? I don't think it sounds "off" enough to make a difference. Love it.
IT'S OVER 9000!!!!! Great song man, I can actually imagine DBZ characters fighting to that one. lol Good work. My music is going great. I am going to the studio in less than an hour. My band is going for a name change though. If you wanna help, then feel free to message me.
Yeah dude! Me rikey very much! "ITS OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAND!" I think the tremelo part at the end really reflects upon the frustration Vegeta suffers with his penis envy for Goku.
Great song man.I was expecting Fred Durst to fucking come in around 2:00 and start white rappin or something...but he didnt so I was happy :D
Dude what program you using to program drums, they're a lot more flexible than mine D: !
