Rubbing Down Debbie is a rock band of five girls in Jacksonville, Florida. Our sound is primarily heavy rock with some classical rock and classic punk overtones. Our musical influences are very eclectic, which gives our music a fuller sound, and keeps our minds open to experimentation. In other words, WE GIVE WHAT WE GOT TO MAKE YOU POP!
We knew each other through school, friends and previous bands. After many attempts to form bands separately, we decided to just go ahead and be in one band together. So, in 2003, we got together and started the process of writing songs.
On August 8th, 2004, we played our first gig at Jack Rabbits (Jacksonville, FL). We've been playing out ever since. We like to dress up for shows (we are a little silly sometimes). We are currently unsigned. Getting signed is our goal (as long as it is to a label that won't try to screw us over;) which we are working towards while continually writing new songs and growing as a band.
For us, forming this band was a fulfillment of a lifelong dream. It is something that we knew we wanted to do from a very young age. We are not about to quit anytime soon, so watch out!!

For the month of October 2009, any online order over $20 will receive a "signed" broken or used drum stick from Davey Calabrese. All year long, Davey has been collecting these drum sticks and saving them just for you. Why does he have so my broken drum sticks? Could it be a lack of self control behind the drums? A mental disorder that causes him to destroy? Only his therapist knows for sure!
Thanks for checking out the music. Please stay in touch :) Fid is currently handling the comments so feel free to leave a note. In the meantime check out the links below
