*taught myself to sing mimicing my mothers vinyl collection as a child
*married high school sweet heart (enlisted air force). got stationed in japan where i met dave through bartending at the club there on base. dave gave me a few basic strumming and chord lessons.
*wrote my first song- very simple song about meeting and falling in love with my husband in small town usa
*moved to hawaii for second base
*cashed in shares from stock market money that my step grandma had gotten me as a gift as a wee little one, with that money i bought a mac computer(garageband is the best!) and recording software
*picked the band name "ruby pigtails" because it suits me to a t. i have dyed my hair red since high school and wear pigtails literally everyday. i think they are the one shred of childhood i can carry around everyday- my security blanket.
*i am still a very basic guitarist, i am actually still too shy to even say that i am a "guitarist". i always say that i am "learning guitar", so as of yet- do not expect crazy guitar riffs and/or mind blowing guitar solos
*i love writing.
*i love singing. it has always been there. it is what i can do no matter what is going on and things are okay in those moments. its what moves me, so to speak.
*i do not expect everyone to love my music - including my friends. i do not expect to become some super star. i just hope that in one second of one of my songs i can make someone feel how i feel every second that i am holding a microphone.
