My interests go/are going through as of late, a flux as it were. I'm currently producing and writing songs, to eventually release as soon as I can on my label Ruby Red District. I'm a photographic guinea-pig on-and-off, and the occasional fashion runway rack too. Given up on improving the slipped-ass clubbing in T.O. (Lord... you people need to clue-in) but my spinning repertoire is what some might consider at the advanced (mature) end. Dancing for me is ALWAYS important. It's my most personal attribute and whenever I can do it, I do it for MYSELF! Trying to eventually do more graphic designing; I don't have the kind of time to do any illustrations of the pen & ink variety anymore (which pisses me off, now and then). Post-modern/avant dance companies - though I haven't recently seen anything of REAL value pass through for a while. Japanese punk & metal culture is a big thing for me. I've been a more-than-casual observer of the action that goes down across there for most of my musical/cultural life. Tattoos, of which I have 9 so far, but I ain't done! No sir - A long time wish is to get one from a master of irezumi! Metal, punk/cyberpunk/anime fashion dabbling (ie. crossdressing for Fetish Nights or for performances; if I feel like it also). Maybe high heels?... I now only have a couple as I have to regain more after getting about $1,200 worth stolen at one point; but yeah I guess I DO like cool women's shoes! Sci-fi - hmmmmm... what else? HEAVY METAL - anything affiliated with it; I've grown up to that damn warping magazine and it's movies too (and obviously music)! Alternative art birthed by the like of Trevor Brown, Kozik, Olivia, Joachim Luetke, Simon Bisley, Pushead... JEEZ enough; and that's just current interests... I've STILL always feared Giger being my secret godfather (eep!)

...and now (at least to MY page...) the lovingly entitled 'The Loved and Bannered':
A pic of the latest incarnation of Japan's best kept noisemakers, The Piass (pron: Pyah-sue). The boys have been bringin' the pain for decades as Anarchist Records mainstays, and even with a past so littered with tragedy Takayuki still rules! These guys will be forever near and dear to my heart as the perfect clash of Glam and punk/metal!
This tré-cool electronic outfit have tons of amazing tracks; without them already being rebirthed as hundreds of amazing remixes. They ALWAYS have stuff coming out. Their new opus "Shame" is out, so my humble advice is that you check Nude out at their page; they have a lot to offer!
... and in from Pheonix, Arizona, is a group of iron-clad metal dynamite in Fracture Point. They wanna buy a van to tour, people... and I for one suggest you help out by getting their full-length album "Inherit The Downfall". Consider this as a recommendation and get it. You know it wouldn't be bannered here otherwise.
..."Hey Ruby, who's your favorite band?" That question asked to me time and again, so check the picture link above. I give ya the more mutated, futuristic, quasi-grind of thee almighty AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED! Almost everyone looks lost when I say their name ^_^ I mean just listening to this band alone feels like a personal assault; this lone axe, drum-machined, tri-screamer outfit is simply sheer nihilistic abandon on a bad drug trip - I LOVE 'EM!!! Look for their new album 'Agorapocalypse' and others at their current label: Relapse Records. Check out the guitarist Scott's other band Pig Destroyer while you're there. Go... NOW!

Heroes
Those that say 'Fuck Heroes' when lauded or considered one by others, 'cause I bet the only thing running through their mind would be, "I was just THERE." Mine are always alive because of passion of purpose, not profit....
Well, well let's see.... I was a bassist in various local bands throughout the 80s-90s. I'm a DJ and producer now, but I'm pretty selective where/what I spin now as it's all about art now; Toronto is a commercial trend-hugging town - whatever whenever from where-ever for the mindless mob (poor shlebs). I very rarely now and then will moonlight as a 'boylesque' performer; I've performed for different revues in the past like Slaves Of Seduction or Pynky Love Goddess' Revue (need way more outfits now though! :P). I'm DEFINITELY way more of a controlled kind of hyper now, than the raving dust devil in the past; somewhat like distilled chaos I guess! I like lots of noise (cacophonous, dissonant and harmonious), computer graphic design, and reading. ABOVE ALL, music for me (it's appreciation & creation) is a lifetime culmination of being - I've listened to so much music from so many artists, from so many different genres, that a good song and a bad song song are almost indistinguishable! My life has been a freakin' rollercoaster of difficulty, but it's been dealt with and taught me what I need to do next.... why so serious?! ^_~
Though I'm one to talk (I am SUPER BUSY a lot though) TRY to say hi... I'd do it fer you.. Oh, and click on my banner to check out my label's MySpace Music site, Ruby Red District too.
..
..
Who I'd like to meet: ... a lot of more genuine human beings PLEASE! I love the true friends that I have here in T.O. that's for sure, but I have other shores in mind. Anyway, as music and travel seem to be my only real goals for the near future, there will be enough friends to visit spread out quite globally. I'll be able to decide where the 'next' long term is to be.
... And SERIOUSLY don't just be lookin' to use up my damn comment area like some billboard without so much as a "Gee, you're nice" or "What's up?" I allow HTML as courtesy and will delete your shit if it bores (I'll still love y'all, I'll just be striking your damn ads!). Art, cool photos, yeah... but some long ass media file? Get a grip folks ha ha, and act smart! It's all fine until one kid forgets to play nice, then screws it up for LOADS of people. Plus PEOPLE WITH NO PROFILE INFO ARE ANNOYING! Unless you 'think' that you're one of those individuals who 'might' have a chance... it's yours to take. My wish list? H.R. Giger; John Zorn; Joss Whedon and Steve Harris; Amy Acker and Melinda Clarke (RAARRWW!)
