..Ruby Surge is a band of five lads from Carmarthen intent on making a difference. Formed in late 2009, the band has been busy writing, rehearsing and working on material. Ruby Surge prides itself on its unique sound, writing songs from raucous rock to ballad-esque tunes. Its five members bring a wide range of musical influence to the mix. Writing sessions are an event in themselves as five strong characters push to get the best out of ideas and develop them into songs. Fronted by Mathew Morris-Jones, Ruby Surge is aiming high. “We are all about the music,” said Mathew. “We’re influenced by so many great bands - what band isn’t - but we don’t sound like any of them. We’re happy doing our own thing. “For us writing songs is a constant cycle - we’re continually working on new material and striving to write tunes which are better than the last.” .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
