Hi There!
We are Ruckus & Fray, thanks for stopping by!
Ruckus & Fray plays folk 'n' roll--upbeat acoustic rock with vocal harmonies and fiddle and harmonica on lead. The band bridges the gap between the tongue-in-cheek and the sincere, writing songs about everything from love to flaming pastry. A live show might include a U2 song turned into an eerie folk tune or a bluegrass cover of "Kryptonite," but is guaranteed to include foot-stomping, riffs on the blues fiddle and busted guitar strings.
Email us at ruckusfray@gmail.com for booking, to join our email list, or just because you feel like it. We'd love to hear from you!

Bio
Matt Bayer, Phil Fowler, Dave Stepien, and Ted Watter came together in Madison, WI, spending much of their early collaboration writing songs about sandwiches, love, and communism. Starting in 2005 the guys began to write and perform more seriously. They recorded their debut album, Please Refrain, in 2007 in true aspiring-rockstar style--in Ted's basement. Their second album, The Front Porch, will be released in early 2011. Ruckus & Fry continues to play across Madison, looking to spread folk 'n' roll as they go. -
