After more than fifteen successful years one of Europes top ska bands split up: Mr. Review decided to go seperate ways. The ten Dutchmen had played to an ever growing audience all over Europe during their career. Between 1993 and 1998 they released two studio albums, the legendary live album "Keep The Fire Burning" (GRO CD / LP 007), a compilation of their greatest hits and several vinyl and CD singles. Their first album "Walkin' Down Brentford Road" (GRO CD 001) was recently re-released on Grover Records after it had been deleted for a long time. The band 's singer Dr. Rude and guitarist / composer Arne Visser got back together last year to work on new song material.( "Red Rum") It didn't take long to get a new band together and hit the stage again! Their live set includes some Mr. Review favourites as well as new songs, that refer to the unique Mr. Review style - well played uptempo ska with ear-catching melodies. Rude & Visser definetely keep the fire burning! - - Nach über fünfzehn erfolgreichen Jahren löste sich im Januar 2003 eine der bis dahin erfolgreichsten europäischen Ska-Bands auf: Mr. Review gingen getrennte Wege. Die zehn Holländer hatten sich im Laufe ihrer Karriere ein treues Stammpublikum in ganz Europa erspielt. Zwischen 1993 und 1998 ver-öffentlichten sie neben zwei regulären Studioalben auch ihre legendäre Live-CD / LP "Keep The Fire Burning" (GRO CD / LP 007), eine "Best Of"- Compilation sowie diverse 7" Singles. Ihr erstes Album "Walkin' Down Brentford Road" (GRO CD 001) war lange vergriffen bis sie schließlich auf Grover wie-derveröffentlicht wurde (als CD und LP). Frontmann und Sänger Dr. Rude und der musikalische Kopf der Band - Gitarrist Arne Visser - fanden sich schon kurz nach der Auflösung von Mr. Review wieder zusammen, um an neuem Songmaterial zu arbeiten. Mit ihrer neuen Band waren sie seitdem schon dreimal auf Europatournee und haben mit "Red Rum" ihren ersten Tonträger vorgestellt. Knalliger Uptempo-Ska mit Ohrwurmcharakter war schon immer das Markenzeichen von Mr. Review – daran hat sich bis heute nichts geändert: Rude & Visser setzen diese Tradition gekonnt fort. - - Después de 15 exitosos años, una de las bandas de ska mas exitosas de Europa se separo: Mr. Review tomo caminos diferentes. Los diez holandeses habían estado tocando para audiencias cada vez mas numerosas por toda Europa durante su carrera. Entre 1993 y 1998 publicaron dos discos de estudio, el legendario "Keep the fire burning", una recopilación con sus mejores temas y unos cuantos 7". Su primer disco, "Walkin' down Brentford Road", estuvo descatalogado durante un largo periodo, hasta su reedición por parte de Grover Records, en formato CD y LP. El líder y cantante del grupo Dr. Rude y el compositor –Arne Visser (guitarra)- empezaron un nuevo proyecto en el año 2001 y compusieron sus primeras canciones. El nuevo grupo, “Rude & Visser” tomo parte en el festival itinerante “Skanking ..round the X-Mas Tree” del año 2001 y presento las canciones de Mr. Review junto a las suyas. El Ska-pop característico de Mr. Review sigue siendo en el 2005 el estilo en el que se sumergen Rude & Visser. El primer trabajo de Rude & Visser se titula "Red Rum" (Grover, 2002) y contiene las primeras cuatro canciones del grupo, en el más puro estilo Mr. Review MySpace layots
