About me:

I have asked myself for years "What do I want to be when I grow up!" I thought I was suppose to do many things in my life but not one of the choices I made, really made me happy. I knew I loved to perform but I couldn't act or sing or even play guitar (not from a lack of trying). That is when I was introduced to the world of electronic music. My daughter Jessyka took me to my first rave as a 36 year old woman and it changed my life. Her vision, to show mom that the scene was safe and she wanted to ease my discomfort about letting her go to these parties. What ended up happening was quite the opposite. Although I found it safe, I also found out I loved it!! What even amazed me more was how the kids/scene took me in. I was labelled Raver Mom that night and it stuck. I felt like I belonged in some wierd way. It was only 4 months later when I bought myself my first set of turntables and mixer and started spinning myself. I distinctly remember bringing those tables home for the first time, sitting looking at them wondering, "okay, we got em here, now how the heck do I hook them up...and then, where do I start...eekkk!" At first, it was difficult to get the hang of what I was doing but my friends told me to persist and I did. It was in June of 2007 my mother came down with terminal lung cancer and all the music stopped. I did not have the drive to spin and my mind was occupied elsewhere. Sadly, it was 2 days short of 2 months that my mother passed away and getting up in the morning was more than I could bare. I decided to use my music as a way to heal from the pain I felt and surprisingly it worked. Listening to my progress was so exciting as it was the first thing I found that I really enjoyed and I got this overwhelming happiness listening to what was coming out of those speakers and by ME! That is when Breaks of Dawn was born...truly born! It was November 10, 2007, just one day short of one year from my anniversary date of my first rave that I hit my first club (Van Gogh's Ear). Since then, I have been playing out as often as I can and have appeared in many clubs, played Radio spots with Souljah Sessions Radio, Wheel Up Wednesdays and now I play weekly every Thursday from 7-9 EST on Protokol Radio. I have also started a company called Rudegyal Entertainment and finally we are in the works for some up coming shows. I am truly excited to be a part of this scene even if I do seem like an oddball. It still makes me grin from ear to ear when I hear someone say, "Really, u spin dude...thats awesome!" You will be seeing some big things coming your way not only from Rudegyal Entertainment but Breaks of Dawn as well. I look forward to serving my community and surrounding areas with the dark and dangerous beats you have grown to expect!! There are so many people that I would love to thank (and probably have a million times already lol), the list is very long. I have found great friendships and great business partners along the way and I am thankful to have found such great support in such a competitive career. Thank you all!! and Big Big UpZ!! I remember the day I brought those tables into my home, I didn't have a clue what I was doing and honestly, I didn't even know how to hook them up...and I was gonna play music on these things...lol. I found my excitement (as I began to play better) got other people excited and through networking decided to throw my first party as a production company. Nothing ever has made me want to get up in the morning or work till the wee hours trying to get ideas together and so forth but I was meant to be here...doing what I love best...bringing music to the people! Pandemic Worldwide and Rudegyal Entertainment will be blowing the roof wide open with this party which will be held in the Cambridge area on August 24/07. More will follow as soon as everything is in place. I want to take this moment to thank that one special person who introduced this all to me and that is my daughter Jessyka! Had she not taken me to my first party, I would never have found my true passion in life. I am forever grateful to her for bringing this joy to my life and being there to experience it with me along the way. We are hoping at some point to even have a mother/daughter battle. Keep an eye out for this one early next year. My last words to each and every person who reads this. No matter how stupid or ludacris people think your ideas are...never ever give up on your dreams. If you want something bad enough...you will go to any extent to reach your goals and surpass them!
