In November of 2003 Rude King was born in the city of Chicago. Charter members, Jon Bravo, Jeff and Davonna Thomas, and Casey Kowalski, Kevin Kaiser, and Jim Barsanti set out to create a unique sound that blended all of their influences into traditional and 3rd wave ska rhythms. What resulted was a sound that had people dancing, having a blast, and coming back for more. Rude King set themselves apart and earned respect in the Chicago ska scene.
In their time in Chicago, they released a critically acclaimed EP, enjoyed sharing the stage with just about every local ska band in the area, headlining shows, and opening for super bands like Mustard Plug and The Toasters. Chance would take Casey to Dallas, TX. Soon after Jon happened to move to Dallas and the decision was made to keep it going as long possible.
They now hang their hats in Dallas with a new line-up and new songs and styles in the mix. Rude King will never forget where they came from and where they started. Rude King looks forward to continued success in the future.
Big event in California. Great guy just trying to keep the scene alive. If you want to play give him a heads up, he is looking for bands outside of California.
