Originally from Venezuela, South America, Rudy knew he was meant to be on stage from a very young age. Beginning with his first church musical at age 5, he was never afraid to take the spotlight. He was in every band and choir possible from middle school through high school and studied the saxophone for 7 years. Rudy pursued his study of music and graduated with a degree in vocal performance from the University of Northern Colorado. He focused his efforts on the classical genre while simultaneously performing in musical theatre, the university’s top jazz group, and alongside one of the world’s best known Latin guitarists, Manuel Molina. Rudy eventually moved to New York City where he started working in the the theatre and club scene. After only a month in the big city he landed the role of Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar and shortly after Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show. For the last five years Rudy has been the power alto for the multi-award winning vocal group m-pact who was named vocal group of the year at the 2005 L.A. Music Awards. Rudy and m-pact have opened for and shared the stage with such acts as Boys II Men, Sheryl Crow, Take 6, Kenny G and Ray Charles. More recently Rudy was seen on television as one of American Idol’s top 24 contestants. Rudy is currently in the studio working on his debut solo album.

El cariño que he sentido a través de sus correos ha sido clave en esta etapa de mi vida profesional. Y ha sido precisamente ese cariño el que me inspira a seguir adelante, a trabajar duro para conquistar mis sueños, a escribir música que esté a la altura de sus expectativas y a levantarme cada vez que el destino atraviesa obstáculos en el camino.
A mis compatriotas venezolanos quiero enviarles todo mi afecto y mi agradecimiento infinito por su respaldo y admiración. Créanme que los llevo constantemente en mi corazón porque a través de ustedes me siento conectado con la tierra grande, bella y noble que me vio nacer. Una vez más, gracias, gracias por su amistad y por ser parte de mi vida.
Aprovecho la oportunidad para comentarles que continúo trabajando en mi primer CD como solista. Cuatro de las canciones de este primer trabajo están en esta página pues creí importante compartirlas con ustedes. Espero que las disfruten tanto como yo disfruté cantándolas. Me siento muy afortunado de estar trabajando con excelentes productores y con un equipo de músicos de gran calidad humana y profesional.
