Champions of emerging artists, Rudy's opened their first shop with a mural done by a local Seattle graffiti crew called DVS. Later, they commissioned a large mural by Shepard Fairey of "Andre the Giant" fame, and also placed a large KAWS piece in one of the shops. Art continues to play a major part in each of their ventures including contemporary murals by neo graffiti artist OJAS in Rudy's Portland Pearl District and Eric Elms in LA's Melrose shop.

Sometime in 1992, creative entrepreneurs Wade Weigel, Alex Calderwood and David Petersen envisioned offering a quality, affordable haircut in a casual environment. They refined their ideas and immediately began construction. The result: a reinvented barbershop that incorporated music, style and art. On January 2, 1993 the first Rudy's opened its doors on Pine Street in Seattle's Capitol Hill district. Today Rudy's can be found in Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles. Don't you think it's time for a haircut?
