Whoever asks himself from time to time how an ecstaticly happy Rudy Trouvé would look like, had to be in Viljandi in 2006.
The Baltic adventure left him with yet another band: "Rudy & the Unforgettable Wally's". This low-fi-latin-trio consists of the 2 workshop participants Emanuelle and Anneleen besides himself. For the moment their repertoire covers about ten items, among which direct hits as 'Like Women Do', 'Turtle Doves' and 'I Can Hear My Own Heartbeat'. On top of very fine guitar-, saxophone-, melodica-, bagpipes-, flute- and piano-playing, the vocal parts of both "Wally's" absolutely stand out."
With many thanks to the excellent Theatre-makers of Braakland/ZheBilding for making this happen. The Wallies would not exist without them, neither would the introductionary text above, and we're forever grateful for their stage, support and for just being the greatest and best theatre-makers we know.
De Bolwerkfanfare had haar tijd toch gehad, wie maalt erom? Rat Ka Bay Bal staat klaar om haar plaats in het muzikale landschap in te nemen... Strak in het pak, vlijmscherpe melodieën, onweerstaanbare grooves en een stevige dosis ‘kom-maar-op-als-ge-durft’!

De Gentse Bolwerkfanfare is reeds verdwenen sinds 10 januari 2009. Doorgedreven speurwerk heeft niks opgeleverd De onzekerheid van haar lotsbestemming maakt het nog zwaarder om dragen,maar we moeten sterk zijn en aanvaarden:

Wij willen op 17 april samen met u een laatste eerbetoon brengen aan de Bolwerkfanfare. Blijf niet met je verdriet zitten, gedeelde smart is halve smart!
De dienst wordt ingekleed door de dames van RouwendeVrouwen. com en om 20h30 opgeluisterd door Rat Ka Bay Bal, een gezelschap dat ons eigenlijk volslagen vreemd is, maar dat beweert de Bolwerkfanfare zeer goed gekend te hebben.

La cérémonie sera conduite par les dames de RouwendeVrouwen. com et accompagnée musicalement par Rat Ka Bay Bal, une compagnie inconnue qui néanmoins affirme avoir connu la Bolwerkfanfare de tout près.

Hey Wally's! Letland was fantastisch, evenals onze concertreeks De Woensdagen, dit jaar met ondermeer het Rudy Trouvé Septet en Prima Donkey. Hopelijk geraken jullie er zo nu en dan. Overmorgen bijvoorbeeld, op de Grand Opening met Rawfrucht (gratis en wel). Tot snel! Adriaan.

MUZIKANTEN GEZOCHT VOOR WORKSHOP MUZIEKTHEATER! Sluit je aan bij de nieuw te vormen band olv Youri Van Uffelen en werk vanaf zaterdag 17 november 2007 zes zaterdagmiddagen op rij aan een soundtrack bij onze voorstelling ..'BZB op locatie!..' (première 8 mei 2008). De eerste zes sessies resulteren in opnames, daarna wordt met andere betrokkenen verdergekeken hoe de live-uitvoering wordt aangepakt. De repetities vinden plaats in onze stek in de Molens Van Orshoven (Leuven). Het cursusgeld bedraagt 125 euro. Meer info op www.inbreek.be
