Precise Science was conceived originally as a duo - Ruffmic & FreedomWriter - Hip-Hop & Spoken Word - Old Skool/New Skool simultaneously. As we began on this journey that we were called to take, we didn't know what was ahead.
One song became two, then the people asked for more - five songs became an EP that caught some more attention. We decided to put our collective talents, contacts, experience and teachings into a full fledged album - originally for the conscious community exclusively, because we didn't think a large population could digest and enjoy our sound/message. The response has been almost overwhelmingly positive and supportive.
We thank the almighty (Amen-Ra & Neteru Nebu) and the ancestors (Seshu) for this and overstand the duty attached. Ultimately the goal is the liberation of the minds and bodies of a conscious critical mass, so we can reclaim our rightful place in this spiritual existence of human form collectively. Music is one of our weapons in this war, but not the only one.
Ruffmic is a longtime producer, emcee, and student of ancient sciences. He is also a youth sports coach and is involved with a few other youth organizations around Tubman City (Baltimore).
FreedomWriter is a poet, videographer and a studying Hem-Netcher (Priest) of the Temple of the White & Gold Lotus. He too is an active member of numerous political and youth organizations in Tubman City.
We have gathered a cadre of supporters and collaborators that have grown the brand that is Precise Science like FLO (FreedomWriters little brother), Ka'Ba (soul singer and longtime LIB contributor), Guerilla Republik (Delaware, Philly chapters) and many others. We truly appreciate all the encouragement, assistance and support provided by the LIB family. We were created out of this community and will never stop serving it.

Nas and Black Ice discussing the current state of hip-hop over a DJ Premier beat... We sound like us; but listeners have drawn comparisons to: Public Enemy, Tribe Called Quest, Last Poets, X Clan, Brand Nubian, Poor Righteous Teachers, Gil Scot Heron and others... who do you think we sound like?
Ruffmic & FreedomWriter joined forces to create a melodic journey through the minds and hearts of the Pan-Afrikan Collective Conscious. With the support and encouragement of master teachers, independant & major label artists, club & internet dj's and all who have witnessed them perform - Precise Science has emerged as the definitive Hip-Hop / Spoken Word collaborative of our generation.
