Trickz & RizlaDizla - Ruff Trixx (I Feel U)
The labels first release by its two founder members, Trickz & RizlaDizla. Ruff Trixx (I feel U) has a great 96 style to it. Quite hard with a bouncy techno kick drum, stabby oldskool riff as well as a very uplifting piano and strings. A pure dance floor stomper.
RizlaDizla - Twilight Zone
Based on the American television series, Twilight Zone is defiantly on of the darker releases on Ruff Trixx Records. Containing a catchy ravey riff, samples from the shows theme with a jumpy drum n bass break in the middle. A seriously heavy track.
Trickz & RizlaDizla - Enter Inside
Enter Inside is one of the more experimental tracks on the label. It consists of many dance elements such as electro, breaks, and oldskool house and features samples from both Trickz & Rizla. A great DJ tool for mixing breaks into kick drum hardcore. One for the people who like their core a bit different.
Trickz - Don't Stop Rockin'
Trickz’s first solo track. Don’t stop Rockin puts good use to a well known oldskool sample with energetic hoovers, eerie piano and some drum n bass for good measure. A fresh sound that possess both happy and dark elements.
RizlaDizla – Soundwave
Rizlas second solo release after Twilight Zone. This time hardcore meats the Citroen C4 TV advert. Using sounds from David Guetta vs The Egg - Love don't let me go and samples from The Transformers, this track is homage to Rizla’s favourite transformer and Decepticon, Soundwave. Played and loved by DJ Vibes, this track never fails to rock the dance floor.
Trickz Feat Vicky Fee – I Still Believe
The long awaited release I Still Believe by Ruff Trixx co-owner DJ Trickz is finally here. Featuring the astonishing vocal talents of Vicky Fee, Trickz’s second solo release is a real vocal anthem with a fantastic inspirational main riff, lush breakdowns with tinkling piano chords. Very uplifting track made for the sing a long crew.
RizlaDizla & Empathy – Roxx Like This
The 7th release on Ruff Trixx sees DJ Empathy teaming up with RizlaDizla for his track on Ruff Trixx. Roxx Like This contains an Energetic Trance Riff, Uplifting Pianos with an Oldskool Bouncy Techno break which never fails to cause a reaction from the ravers. Yet another bouncy stomper of a choon from the Ruff Trixx boys available now for download….so download.
RizlaDizla - Fainted Bruv
We see yet another naughty rip from Rizla this time using a well known 80s pop track as its inspiration. Featuring some well known lyrics by Rizla including the “Lets Go Mental” rhyme, this party slammer screams funcore. Another track heavily played by DJ Vibes around the UK. Add Fainted Bruv to collection today and start the bounce.
Trickz & Empathy - Shut Your Lights Off
Trickz meets Empathy. The result...one stomping, cheesey hardcore slammer. Sweet banging kickdrum with Ruff Trixx ravey riff and a little vocal suprise. Don't speak anyone? All yours for sod all!!!
Hi and Welcome to the Home of Ruff Trixx Records.
Here you will read about how we first formed, our artist, our music and what we have planed for the future….and other stuff.
.
Ruff Trixx Records is a Hardcore Record Label formed by Ruff Trixx Crews Trickz & RizlaDizla in Harlow, Essex. The label contains Hard, Cheesy, Happy and Bad tracks but all Bouncy as HELL. The name Ruff Trixx was coined by RizlaDizla when talking about making a track (track has still never been made) with Trickz. The idea of a Record Label was still only an idea.
At the start of 2003 put on an event in their home land of Harlow, Essex called of course, Ruff Trixx. This took place above the infamous Jean Harlow pub in March 2003. This was a great success bringing in local and travelling ravers to rave the night away. The event consisted of some great Essex talent such as MC Spenno, Scott Devotion, MR Stoned and Ruff Trixx Engineer DJ Ponder. Although rumours tend to spread every so often, there are no solid talks of an event anytime soon.... or is there ;)
In 2004 Rizla & Trickz decided to go into the studio together to come up with a new style bouncy tekno track. 95% of new hardcore was either the Ravebaby style or Freeform. Only a handful of new tracks being made at the time used many oldskool elements. DJ Styles – Back To the Oldskool and Sy & Unknowns Kick It were now joined by Another Dimension by The Ruff Trixx Crew. Although the track received great feedback and was released on Warped Science, it was still sometime before the Ruff Trixx sound and name caught on with most ravers. Unknown to everyone at the time, it would be another 2 and a half years till they worked on another track together.
Quite some years later, DJ Trickz joined London's premier pirate, Eruption FM. RizlaDizla, mainly known for his MCing, had started DJing on Eruption 101.3 FM back in late 2005. At the start if 2006 Rizla, who wasn't the biggest fan of most of the modern hardcore being made, ganged up with Ponder at Elation studios 1 to come up with some nice party tracks. Very bouncy and ravey, “Twilight Zone” was the first result. After that followed “Serial Killa”, “Fainted Bruv” and “Soundwave”. Now both Trickz & RizlaDizla had their radio shows, both agreed that they should team up again in the studio for another Track. Back in the studio for the first time since Another Dimension, both wanted to come out with something very hard and bouncy with lots of oldskool elements. The final result was Ruff Trixx (I Feel U). After a few months of trying to get the track signed, talks happened again about the Ruff Trixx Record Label forming. And so it did.
Rizla & Trickz's first task was to promote the Ruff Trixx name as much as possible. This would be achieved by performing under the name Ruff Trixx as well as using the name for their Eruption Radio Show on Wednesday nights 6-8pm. The first booking under the Ruff Trixx tag was in Feb 2007 for Mix Mash at the O-bar in Soho London. They were now ready to unleash ther tracks upon the dancefloors
Since the making of Ruff Trixx (I Feel U), Enter Inside, (Trickz & Rizla) I Still Believe, Don't Stop Rockin (Trickz) and U Used 2 Luv Me (Rizla) have all been added to the Ruff Trixx catalogue. Also joining the ranks is DJ Empathy another Harlowtonian who has knocked up tracks “Shut Ya Lights Off” with Trickz & “Roxx Like This” with RizlaDizla. DJ Empathy, well known for his cheese loving within the crew, made his DJing debut for Ballistic Beats in London the 3rd of November 07 at Club Jacks.
The Ruff Trixx Crew have had a busy year in 07. They hope to keep smashing dance floors with their original, fun style in 2008 and many years to come. Keep watching this space for more updates and news from the Ruff Trixx Crew!!!
