Rukas was born in Warsaw, Poland during Communism and escaped to Italy with his parents, then moving to Australia where he was raised by his
mother, with no other relatives. He later moved to the US and now spends his time between America, Europe and Australia. In 2006 Rukas, along with
his then group The Cartel with Bleezy and Prophit, opened for the Ying Yang Twins and DMX, as well as Australian rapper Phrase and New Zealand
rapper Savage.
Rukas was the founder of The Cartel (sometimes called the Youngline Cartel). The group was formed late 2005 and also features Bleezy and Prophit.
In 2007 Rukas became the first Australian, and non-US rapper, to release a 100 Bar freestyle track. Previous US artists in the 100 Bar club
include The Game, Ya Boy and Canibus.
In September 2008, The Outlawz, formed by the late Tupac Shakur,
announced that they would be forming Outlaw Recordz Australia with Rukas as co-CEO, President and rapper, while Young Bleezy would serve as co-CEO and resident producer for Outlaw Recordz Australia.
