I've noticed that a lot of people on myspace just
write "I'm into everything" and just leave it as that, leaving no real details. I also noticed that a lot of people play the same mp3's/videos that you can see on MTV.
First off I am not into "everything". I am not a fan of country, English rap, death metal, polka, and other more obscure genres of music. On to what I do like....I will break it down by 2 catagories .
....Music that a lot of people listen to:
This includes rock, indie, emo, some metal, punk, industrial, classic rock, even some 50's and 60's music. Of course there are way too many bands to list but here are a few examples: Metallica, The Early November, The Pixies, The Beatles, Billy Talent, Vendetta Red, Weezer, ...wow this list could go on and on...but onto the other catagory.
....Music that isn't mainstream (E.G., you won't see it on MTV2, even at 3AM):
I like to listen to a lot of synthpop/darkwave music. Most of this music is from the UK and Germany. A few examples are...VNV Nation, Funker Vogt, Project Pitchfork, De/Vision, Wolfsheim, Frontline Assembly, Mesh...yeah this list could go on as well....
German metal/rock: I started to listen to Rammstein back in 98 when they got some airplay. I liked the music and with some internet searching, I have discovered several bands that are amazing. Some examples...In Extremo, Megaherz, Tanzwut, OOMPH!, Stahlhammer, Wizo, and Terrorgruppe. Once again there are too many bands to list.
Phew. Well...that's the brunt of it. Nothing too amazing I suppose. Upon reading this here list, if you think you can educate me in some manner...drop me a line.
Below are a few autographs I have collected over the last 2 years. I want more and I'm not lame enough to buy them off the net .
I like movies that make me think. Yes, of course I like the blockbuster special effects movie that usually is a disappointment once in awhile, but I really enjoy simpler movies. Some examples are Vanilla Sky, The Mothman Prophecies, and Garden State. I also like to rent foreign films such as "Up and Down", "Maria Full of Grace", and "Motorcycle Diaries".
Television
TV...Blah. The only series I watch on a regular basis is Lost. Yeah I'm one of them kinda people. I'll also watch The Family Guy once in awhile. Adult Swim has recently started to air "Pee Wee's Playhouse"! Oh my god is that scary to watch, especially knowing I used to watch it.
Books
Right now...The Dark Tower Series. Then I suppose The Wheel Of Time, since I have like the first 10 books collecting dust on my book shelf. Yeah...that works.
Hmm. Shoot...I guess this is where I should be funny. Or witty. Or perhaps I should be an in·tel·lec·tu·al. But really I'm just a normal guy. Might mean I'm boring to you, but whatever. I'm actually all the above to a certain extent. I'm a moderate in a career field populated by right wingers. I need to educate myself on world affairs. I love my family dearly. Even the crazy ones...
Apparently I like music. Perhaps too much of a good thing kinda deal. This includes shows, and meeting band members at said shows. Getting autographs is a plus. I'm liking my Ipod and Windows Media Player. Soulseek is also neat-o.

Who I'd like to meet: I'm here for friends and family. Original idea, eh? I spend too much time looking up bands on myspace. Oh...you say that I don't have a lot added to my friends list? I did at one point...it was boring.
I would like to add the following personas to my little corner of the world:
People that like music, and know something about it. Watching TRL disqualifies you. Deal with it.
People that think for themselves. Not just with opinions based on the channel you watch or the station you listen to. I know, it's hard.
People that can respect other people's opinions.
People in Germany. There are some bands there I want to see someday. Make that English speaking people in Germany. Kthanks =)

Yeah sushi is no good :( when you are pregnant but I am hoping there is stuff that was cooked there or vegetable rolls..but its cool either way..just have a craving for it ;)
