RUMBLE IN RHODOS consists of five virtuoso boys from the plural suburbs of Oslo. Offering a delicate sound of energetic indie rock, touches of no-wave, danceable post-punk and marks of abstruse underground, Rumble In Rhodos is now ready to present their second full-length entitled "INTENTIONS". The album was released in Norway
April 28th and will be released in Europe later this year, leading to the band's 5th European tour. Available in Scandinavia later this summer, the album will be celebrated by the band at the Roskilde Festival July 2nd. Quoting the festival's website: "The Norwegians roar forward in an aggressive and engaging pitch, but always with a controlled grip on the music. Rumble in Rhodos is rock for people who demand nourishments both for the muscles and the brain".
RUMBLE IN RHODOS blir kalt sjangerrebeller for sin freidige og frekke omgang med ulike stilarter. Selv hevder de at de henter inspirasjon fra
Post-hardcore, dansbar Post-punk, No Wave og annen melodiøs
undergrunnsrock. Det siste året har RIR ligget i hardtrening på øvingslokalet og utviklet sin umiskjennelige sound. Den 28. april 2008 slapp de sin andre fullengder "INTENTIONS" på Black Balloon Records. Plata blir sluppet i Skandinavia til sommeren og skal feires med brask og bram på selveste Roskildefestivalen. I oktober står Europa for tur, og plateslippet skal markeres med bandets femte europaturne. På "INTENTIONS" har RIR funnet en ny måte å fordele energien på som kanskje gjør bandet mer tilgjengelig, samtidig som platen er mer intrikat og progressiv i oppbygningen. Dette gjør bandet mer dynamisk og variert både fra platespilleren og scenekanten.

Digga konserten på Garage under Musikkens dag, aldri hørt dere før og ble skikkelig imponert! Synd dere ikke fikk spille 40 ekstranummer som jeg hadde håpet på! Men neste gang står jeg litt nærmere scenen og forhåpentligvis uten et stort keyboard under armen... :D
