Rumble Pack Records began in Philadelphia before relocating to Oakland and later to San Francisco. We like to think our musical sound and artists are as diverse as these cities, and we hope to bring the funk regardless.
1999's critically-acclaimed concept album, Projecto: 2501 featured Tajai of Souls of Mischief and producer Yameen under the concept album alias, SupremeEx. Projecto wowed fans and critics, appearing on the front cover of XLR8R magazine, and was also the first hiphop album entirely recorded over the internet. The album also featured international guest artists including Shing02, Major Terror, and DJ Low Budget (who would go on to form Hollertronix).
The duo would again collaborate once again on 2005's full-length album, Nuntype. More songs, more sory; Nuntype was everything the fans were looking forward to and then some. The album's lead single, "Meaning" featuring Goapele continues to be a favorite.
Brining us up to 2008's release from Yameen, Never Knows Best. Featuring some of music's most talented vocalists and performers: Casual (Hieroglyphics), Shock G (Digital Underground), Lady Alma (Black Lily, 4hero), Maylay Sparks (!k7), Azeem (Om Records) and many more.
