Hip and upbeat lyrics, cleverly poised guitar riffs, and a slight over-attention to in your face melodies, Rumbo Tumbo, a pop-punk rock conglomerate emerges from the quiet nook of Monmouth County, New Jersey. The bands five members, Lyricist/Vocalist/Guitarist Doug Leibowitz, Vocalist/Guitarist Matt Sisini, Lyricist/Vocalist/Guitarist Chris Reck, Drummer Matt Beyer, and Bassist Steven Sosin were all in and around different outfits in the underground NJ scene for sometime. As the group remained friends they knew it was time for the band to form. Owning a love for such bands as 311, Incubus, Four Year Strong, Green Day, Less Than Jake, Goldfinger, Homegrown, and 90’s rock, they have established their sound that is similar to the contemporaries of our time. What better place to show this while being tucked into the grip of American Culture that lurks the NY/NJ local. Its Friday night and Rumbo Tumbo motivates the crowd, remaining true to the art form by having “balls to the wall stage presence” accompanied with a unique live show that even includes costumes on the holidays. With a debut album “Excuse Me” on the way in early ’09, featuring fan favorites such as “Sideways” and “Point Break”, the five boys of rock crash the party of hometown stages, as they get ready for the country establishing tour dates for the upcoming ’09 summer.
