Rumors of War is currently Lou Eastman writing all music and programming all parts, though he has collaborated with Tony Nicol and Don Chavez in the past (and will do so again given the opportunity) and also with Scott VanFossen of Fighting Zero.
Thank you to Scott VanFossen for his wonderful work on "Jentle". I know Jen would approve (and probably wonder what all the fuss is about).
"Jentle" - (formerly "Fire")
Music by Lou Eastman/Rumors Of War, Lyrics by Lou Eastman/Scott VanFossen
Waning Clouds and Distant Rumbles.
Moistened earth, it drips, so gleaming.
Your soul sought out this moment
In the dreams of summer's storming
I'll meet you when it's over
Soon after winter's gone.
In the shadows you melt the snow
It's you sunshine that lets us know
Your friendship never ending
And strengthens inspiration
I'll meet you when it's over
Soon after winter's gone.
Well my heart is longing for the day
For the day
My eyes grow weary of this pain
I still remember you, remember you
Alive and dancing in the Jentle rain.
Your smile is always melting
In dreams of summer's storming
I'll meet you when it's over
Soon after winter's gone
Winter's gone
Winter's gone

I just wanted to add a little explanation for the inspiration for the lyrical direction in the song.
It was a hot summer day when we went to give our support to friends and family. I remember the heat distinctly. It was like fire. But what I remember more was leaving the funeral home that day and stepping into a glorious summer rain that was just finishing and heading northward. It left the parking lot, the greenery, and earth all around glistening and gleaming. It felt like you were there, dancing in the remnants of the storm...soaking it all in and laughing.

Thanks! I read the lyrics of "Jentle" on Scott's site. It is a beautiful song. I am going out to buy your cd. I cannot wait to hear more. You are a great band. Bonnie xoxoxoxo
"Jentle" was spun last night on 102.3FM, The Mountain. It's a Northeast PA-based station. Alan Stout, host of the radio show and writer of the story (for The Weekender, theweekender.com), had given a great intro for the song, giving a quick backstory as well.
They don't make bands looking for lead singers that have the LP as their number one friend hereabouts. Great sounds... wished you lived in Jersey. I'd sing for you in a second.
I have an idea! I could sing! School gets out in April...muahaha. I can sing intervals like a champ. I just gotta fix the whole out of key thing...I tend to be a little flat...but thats easily remedied.
