What began as a creative outlet between a 17 year old songwriter and his best friend (and their love for things tropical), has turned into a group of musicians who have become a family. While this band has grown from teenage backyard party musicians to rocking some of the best stages in Texas, the idea has stayed constant…music for music's sake.
What you hear in Rumtide's music is the never ending pursuit of a life fulfilled despite all of its harsh realities. The songs are at once full of energy, with soaring harmonies and ear catching melodies. Not to mention great musicianship that could only come from years of playing together.
