Bio
Run Down started at a backyard Bar-B-Que in Orange County, Ca with Joven Madriaga, front man and singer, playing his ukulele and singing Hawaiian songs. Joven's friends enjoyed his playing so much that they invited another one of their friends, Michael Taylor, to listen and jam with Joven. Mike and Joven quickly became friends and decided that mike would learn the bass parts to the songs Joven sang. They continued to play the traditional Hawaiian music and add a few original songs to the list. Their mutual friend Dan Uga, encouraged them to keep playing and consider writing and preforming music full time. Joven and Mike used Dan's encouragement to find a guitar player that matched their vision and playing style. Joven knew of one musician in particular that had vision for music and also played guitar. Manny Reyes was originally asked by Joven and Mike to play drums for the band but was quickly asked to use his skills on guitar for the band. Manny, Mike and Joven knew that they needed a drummer to complete the band. Manny knew of a guy that played every instrument he could get his hands on. Hector Lopez was asked by the Joven, Mike, and Manny to join the band. The band grew together and land some very cool concerts at places like The House Of Blues voodoo lounge, Mai Tai bar, and many others. The band was a unit until there was an argument within the band and Run Down asked Hector to step down from his position as drummer. The remaining members of Run Down were down but not out. Their drive directed them toward finding a replacement drummer. They posted several adds in the paper and online for a qualified drummer to fill the void that was missing. Joel Hazelquist answered one of the adds and auditioned for the group. Run Down shortly after the audition called up Joel and offered him the position as the drummer of Run Down. Run Down recently has laid down new goals to accomplish during the 2010 year. They will be releasing a full line of merchandise like CD's, t-shirts, sweat shirts, stickers, and posters. They also have plans to head to Maui in late April for a large gathering of Joven's friend, family, school mates, and locals who are looking for a fun show at life's a beach bar and grill. ...... .. .. ........My Favorite MySpace 2.0 Layouts.................. ....
