The allure of the bar isn't in the booze
The beers with their frothy heads aren't why we come
The brandies that bite back aren't why we gather
Shots of rum, tequila, and vodka may go down easily
Still, they're only part of the atmosphere
The air may be filled wth energy charged music
That's nothing more than the soundtrack for the evening
We come to the bar for the people
Friends and family connect here
Strangers soon become old acquaintances
Friends become lovers
Lovers become plasant memories
Dramas unfold here
The next day's stories start here
The bartender is your host
The DJ sets the mood
You find your people here, both old and new
And you escape for a while
All of you, together
At the end of the night the bar is just a building
It's the people that fill it that make it special
Who I'd like to meet: Who would I like to meet?
You know what?
I don't think I need to meet anyone new anymore.
I really don't.
I've become an anti-social hermit, and it may be best if I stick to that game plan instead.
Yeah, that sounds good.
Heyy! Thank you very much for the invite but that is my birthday and I already have sooo many plans. Sorry I cant make it. Have fun! Thank you again <3Kita
