PLEASE……..READ MY PROFILE FIRST…. BEFORE SENDING A FRIENDS REQUEST.
This is for people interested in adding me as a friend. If you are someone I do not personally know, please take the time to read my profile. All of the info on it about me is true, not fiction, like some other people on MySpace. If we have something in common, great, I’d love to get to know you, correspond with you, etc. No problem. But if we don’t, don’t bother posting a friends request. You will be denied. I’m tired of being spammed, and contacted by people I don’t see any reasonable connection to.

My current interests are: primarily self-discovery and spiritual growth, and anything that will foster that aim. In and around that I love to read, write, listen to music, play tennis, swordfight (mostly sabre and foil), do paper crafting and card design. My particular areas of study are Celtic and Norse Mythology, Rune study, Tarot, I-Ching, Masonic history and symbolism, meditation, philosophy, and a wide variety of esoteric and other topics.
I love talking and spending time with friends and family and meeting new people. I enjoy spending time with my son and sharing his interest in miniatures gaming at Games Workshop and boffers fighting. And I enjoy getting to meet and know all of my sons varied and sundry friends. It expands my horizons to talk about and learn new things.
I treasure quiet moments outdoors drinking in all life has to offer and enjoying nature in all its raw glory: fiery sunsets, spectacular storms and quiet misty mornings.
And of course many other things…so if you want to know more, read the “About Me” section.
An eclectic mix of just about everything except rap. Generally, rock and roll: Coldplay, U2, Goo Goo Dolls, Beatles, Jets, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Train, Green Day, Nightwish, H.I.M., Rasmus, Kamelot, Rammstien, Sting, Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Anberlin, Test Your Reflex, Tarot, and many more. Most anything with great lyrics. My current favorites are Lorenna McKennnitt albums: Book of Secrets, Mask and the Mirror, The Visit, The Ancient Muse- great lyrics and celtic sound, and also, thanks to introduction by a friend, Kamelot: Fourth Legacy, Ghost Opera, and One Cold Winter's Night.
Lots. But these are my favorites: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Eragon, Stardust, Nicholas Nickelby, Beowulf & Grendel, any thing that's a classic sword and shield, most Sci-Fi and Fantasy, tearjerkers and-- a girl's best friend, the infamous romantic comedy. Period movies are also another favorite if they have great characters.
Anything with gorgeous, handsome, and unfortunately... unavailable men, acting as warriors.
When I do watch, these are my Favorites: Murder Mysteries: Poirot, Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett-of course) and Cadfael, Ugly Betty and news. History Channel (Barbarians and the Dark Ages, etc.), Discovery Channel: Myth busters (Do they really have to blow everything up!!), Eureka!, and a wide variety of science, history, and Sci-Fi shows. And for my Brit-fix PBS ( current favorites are Ballykissangel and Monarch of the Glen), Robin of Sherwood Series, and Robin Hood-BBC Series.
You Are a Dreaming Soul
Your vivid emotions and imagination takes you away from this world
So much so that you tend to live in your head most of the time
You have great dreams and ambitions that could be the envy of all...
But for you, following through with your dreams is a bit difficult
You are charming, endearing, and people tend to love you.
Forgiving and tolerant, you see the world through rose colored glasses.
Underneath it all, you have a ton of passion that you hide from others.
Always hopeful, you tend to expect positive outcomes in your life.
Souls you are most compatible with: Newborn Soul, Prophet Soul, and Traveler Soul
The Inheritance Trilogy (waiting for book 3), Harry Potter- of course (at last- book 7), Brain Jacque's Redwall Series, anything Star Wars, anything Tolkien, Mythology, runelore, symbology, sci-fi, lots of fantasy, Bernard Cornwall's historical novels. I'm currently reading Philip Pullman's His Dark Material's Trilogy: "The Golden Compass", 'The Subtle Knife", and "The Amber Spyglass". Also I've become a fan of Debbie Ford and her books, particularly: "The Dark Side of the Light Chaser", "The Secret of the Shadow", and "The Right Questions." All great books about working with your inner self. Also I love all of John Welwood's book, especially: "Journey of the Heart", "Love & Awakening", "Ordinary Magic", etc. Also, any and all books on philosophy, religion, mythology, any esoteric topic, politics, you name it... I'm a big reader. So if there's something you love... please recommend it...I might be interested in it.

No particular one name come to mind at present. But in general, anyone who battles "the Dark Night of the Soul" with honour, integrity, and compassion, and expresses genuine morals and character. To me character is everything. Once it is lost or tarnished how do we ever get it back? It's the one thing in the world we really own, all else is Maya.
Co-Freemason, Runeworker, Theosophist, member of the SCA, Paper and Card Artist, fencer, tennis and espresso addict, closet anglophile, Star Wars action figure collector, student of all things medieval, Sci-Fi and Fantasy geek, fledgling writer, poet, book-worm, political junkie, seeker, dreamer, gardner, loyal friend, proud mother, and last but not least an incurable romantic and general all-around nutcase.
I'm a committed liberal, Pagan-Buddhist-Taoist vegetarian, an Apple devotee (I love my Apple iMac), journal-holic ( I never go anywhere without my trusty journal), and hopefully, someday, a world traveller. I would love to see the northern lights someday, as well as visit the British Isles, Scandinavia and Tibet and anywhere I can get a free ticket or go in someones suitcase!!. I have a wicked sense of humor, and try to not take life too seriously (which I often do). I'm curious about life in general but especially interested in what makes people tick. I believe in destiny or wyrd (ON) and that when life kicks you in the pants it's for a reason. So pay attention! Most of all I'm a spiritual warrior trying to improve myself and make a difference in this crazy world we live in. I love my family and friends dearly. And I am often thought to be the busybody among my group of friends. Because I'm so enthusiastic about life I frequently make an ass of myself, unintentionally-of course. I do know how to have fun when the opportunity presents it self. And I must add that I can be a bit of a Drama Queen-what can I say!!??
Who I'd like to meet: The Dalai Lama, Bono and any one else that lives their life with honesty, integrity and passion. Those who know what being really human is all about. Also I like meeting people for whom self-discovery and personal growth are an important part of who they are and what their lives are about. I enjoy authentic people who love life, enjoy good conversation and comraderie and aren't afraid to be a little different. Lately I've been drawn to people who have a little rebelliousness, and rogueish-ness in their natures, it makes my life more interesting. I believe you can learn alot from people with differing points of view. I especially treasure running into "kindred spirits" those special folk you meet on rare occasion to which you don't have to explain yourself ever, and that accept you as you really are. A rare gift indeed. I like people with a passion for life.
And, I enjoy meeting and knowing people who like to have fun and aren't afraid to be childish once in a while.
You are very compassionate, and you offer comfort to those around you.
It pains you to see other people hurting, and you do all in your power to help them.
You take on responsibility, and don't mind personal sacrifice. You are the ultimate giver.
In love, you offer warmth and protection to your partner.
You often give too much of yourself, and you rarely put your own needs first.
Emotions tend to rule your decisions too much, especially when it comes to love.
And while taking care of people is great, make sure to give them room to grow on their own.
