Running Blind is a 4-piece band from Porterville, California...The band was born in February of 2004 when Andre(on guitar) and Steven(on bass) started jamming and decided to start a band. The "band" was a joke until July of 2004 when Aaron responded to a "musician wanted" flyer and introduced Andre to his younger brother Chris. The three jammed out and realized that this was something. Andre brought Steven along to do vocals and the four immediately clicked. The band made music for 2 months before Chris left the band spend all of his time on his own music. The band spent 3 1/2 months looking for a drummer ("The Great Depression") before finding Richard and being blown away by his skill. After the band re-learned all of the songs from before, the band decided that if they were gonna make music, it was gonna be music that had dimension, emotion, and an attitude all of our own.
With "punk" being the main aesthetic of all the music, the band has mixed a lot of the music that has influenced us, with "punk". The band is still in it's early stage,and still plans on pushing things forward and taking music to places it's either fearfully hidden from or has never been done before. Running Blind hopes to show new listeners the shape of punk to come even if you don't recognize it.
