I'm not your average hood chick and if you should ever meet or speak to me, you'll notice that right away. Though I lived in the hood all my life, it hardly sounds or seems like I have. I've had people make fun of the way I speak or act all my life and over time have come to accept that I'm pretty different from the ordinary. It's something I've learned to love about myself, so if you don't love it, keep it moving. ;)
Anyway, I'm a nice girl and very quiet. I know some of you maybe be reading this like 'Yeah, right.' because of the pics of me in the club. I believe there's nothing wrong with going out with your friends and having a ball every now and then. However, I'm the last person who'll think club when it's time for a group outing or gathering. I'm more of a let's go to the movies, out to eat, or have a cookout type of person.
As for the activities I like to do, you'll see me on my laptop most of the time to be honest. I love learning anything computer related. Taking them apart, putting them together, learning HTML, finding out the latest software to have on your system, utilizing the internet to learn new things, just everything!
I also love reading. I've always been into fantasy, mythology, sci-fi, horror, and historical stories. Not your typical Eric Jerome Dickey, Kimberla Lawson Roby, Carl Weber, & Sista Soulja reader. Not to say there's anything wrong or unappealing about these authors. I read them, I like their stories, but on another level I don't quite identify with their characters and their stories most of the time.
I love reading gay and lesbian themed novels as well. As I haven't personally had much experience in being out and about, I like getting some insight to being gay, lesbian, or bi (such as myself) in the world. Plus, most of the stories I've read were really good. I think it's pretty intriguing that more novels of this kind are coming from the african-american community as well. No one should feel alone or stigmatized when looking for a good book to identify with.
Another activity I'm into are video games. On a console, handheld, and computer, I adore them. I've been playing games since I was 8 years old pressing A and B on the NES controller. Again, I've met very few people who are into the kind of games that I like.
I love RPGs (roleplaying-games) of any kind. Action, Adventure, or Puzzle. Some of the games I've played and adored are: Final Fantasy (1-10, yes, I've played them), Zelda: Link to the Past, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Zelda: Wind Waker, Tales of Symphonia, Star Island, Phantasy Star 4 (I think, lol, there's a lot of them).
I also like games that have puzzles in them. Makes me think and I feel clever after solving the problem. :P I can do fighting games, but it's been years since I've really been into them. But I can try my hand at them and show you what I'm working with when I get the gist of the controls, so what out! :P
Games that I have little experience in, but would someday love to tackle are FPS (first-person shooters). I'm not much of a Rambo-style player, but I'd snipe the shit out of someone. I'm great at hitting targets (courtesy of Zelda:OoT and shooting down everything that can be shot down lol) and if you need me to sharp shoot, I'm your girl. ;)
Um, there are a few more things I'm into, but I'll work on the rest in a second. Check back for more info!
I'd like to meet people who share things in common with me. While I'm not actively looking for a significant other, if it should happen by way of a friendship, then I would be open to it. First and foremost though, I will not meet just anyone from here. We would have talk a lot, maybe eventually exchange numbers, talk over the phone for a while, before I even consider meeting someone. I'm not crazy. XD
