BALFOR SIGNS WITH PULVERISED RECORDS! Pulverised Records welcomes Ukrainian Black Metallers BALFOR! Describing their music as ‘Barbaric Black Metal’, that explores themes from their countries’ warrior past, the band had recently completed their debut full-length album entitled “Barbaric Blood”.

European kings of non-repentant supreme death black metal art BELPHEGOR, have uploaded the video clip for the track “DER GEISTERTREIBER”at this location. The video was shot in Abtenau, Austria with director Walter Fanninger.
Lead growler and shredder Helmuth stated: “The song is about the celebration on the 30th of April, better known as the Walpurgis Nacht, the occult celebrations on the mountain. It’s the first time that we hired a professional camera team for a BELPHEGOR video, so the result is beyond amazing. We rented a cottage three days high in the mountains in middle of nowhere in the woods. There was nothing around. Just a lot of excess, alcohol, substances etc. Was a great intense time!”
The song was taken from the bands upcoming album "WALPURGIS RITES - HEXENWAHN" released via Nuclear Blast Records on October 9th (Europe) and 20th (N. America).
"So… almost a year has passed since the last time Legion put some ink on my right arm. Lots of shit has happened since then. We’ve doing raids in over 15 new countries and exploring for Devian untouched soil. Since Legion has started to work as a professional tattoo artist once again in Jönköping at Tattoo Art we decided to give birth to this master piece there. This time I brought my friend Fredrik Andersson of Morticias Tomb Production to document this event. LEGION IN A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT! "Some time ago when Legion was out racing the over lands of the Jönköping with his new motorcycle that he bought after coming home from the last Devian tours earlier this year, in search of lyrical inspiration for the new yet untitled third Devian opus something went terrible wrong! In a very sharp turn he lost control over the motorcycle and crashed into a stone wall. He flew over the steering wheel with only one word spinning around in his head – FUCK!!! After he had tumbled into road he knew that he had to get up so he wouldn’t be run over by a car. Still high on adrenaline he dragged himself back to the motorcycle and discovered that it was a total wreck!
Later on in the hospital they told him that he was very lucky. He got away with a few cracks in the ribs, some really bad bruises and due to the pain he has been forced to sleep sitting up in his bed the last few weeks. The only “good” thing that has come out from this accident is that during the time Legion was high on the adrenaline the inspiration and ideas just came to his mind! As soon as he has recovered from the accident he’ll start working on the new lyrics for the album." /Devian

UPDATE ON THE UPCOMING CD! "After trying different labels, we didn't manage to find anything satisfying enough. It seems it's crisis everywhere - we notice a clear difference with the past. Labels don't even answer anymore whilst they used to send out real letters. If things got that bad that labels can't afford simple stamps anymore, I wonder what the future will bring for metal music. The answers we got were generally very positive, but blamed our retail history + Belgium as a C-country and hence not interesting enough to invest in. Things went that far that major label staff were asking for free merch and goodies since they really think the band is awesome, but didn't want to sign. There were offers, but what's the point in signing a deal with a label that can't do promotion or is not willing to invest in some decent touring. So eventually, we're planning to release it ourselves. There is some slack going on in the artwork part of it. Once that is ready, everything can be ordered. We expect to have the disc out in nov/dec. All in all, the atmosphere in the band is better than ever and we're definately driving a more 'arty' course now. So in a way doing this ourselves feels 'right' and gives us the opportunity to give the fans the most out of it; a splendid digipack ft. 12 page booklet and the 'mind over matter' video on the disc. We're also thinking about doing something super limited for the first 100 ones, depending on how much money there's left for us to spend on this record. ENDURANCE OF IRON AND BLASPHEMY USA TOUR 2009 - DEBRIEF We are pleased to report that the Endurance of Iron and Blasphemy Tour was a resounding success - the USA has been satisfactorily laid to waste over the past few weeks, and SPEARHEAD would like to thank everyone that came out to show their support during the tour. Special thanks go out to Amanda at Lava Booking for making the tour possible, and of course Urgehal and EoN. Photographs from some of the shows are now available in the 'Pictures' section, and we hope to add to these over the next few weeks. We are planning to return to the USA in the near future, and hope to reach other parts of the country that we could not get to on this occasion.
