About me:
I am from the DFW Texas area. I have been a rural mail carrier since 1997. I believe rural carriers have been losing ground in the last few years. Our jobs have changed.. We are doing more and more work for the same or less money...I have a website I have created just for rural mail carriers... I do everything I can to make sure rural carriers are armed with the information needed...
Remember knowledge is power!!!
Check it out at ruralinfo.net

I have many different pages dedicated to rural carriers on my site.. Below are several different sections of my site.

One of my favorite quotes
Although it is true that only about 20 percent of American workers are in unions, that 20 percent sets the standards across the board in salaries, benefits and working conditions. If you are making a decent salary in a non-union company, you owe that to the unions. One thing that corporations do not do is give out money out of the goodness of their hearts.

I'm just curious if you or anyone else has heard that 5 day delivery service has been approved? I'm an RCA and my mother is a city carrier. She told me today that they announced in her office that we are going to 5 day service towards the end of the year. I can not find any info on this though. And if so, what does that mean for us RCA's out there?

Fantastic work with the site and all! Did any of you have a mandatory talk on Wednesday about how we're supposed to embrace changes in our lives (aka. embrace the loss in our paychecks)? They should have just sent us "Who Moved My Cheese?" books and saved us the 10 min speech.

If there are any carriers out there that have experienced breastfeeding while working, can you contact me? I'm pregnant now, and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to manage it when I go back to work. I could use some tips.
Thanks!!

Wonder of wonders...your site was mentioned in our state newsletter!!!

Unfortunately that was the high point...the rest of the newsletter basically told us we just have to suck it up and work faster...

We have 22 rural routes in our office. All but 2 routes lost anywhere from 2-9 hours. What a disgrace. Most carriers had to take the "J" without choice, some took the "J" option just to keep some of the money they have worked for all year. 1 route was in an overbeardened route status 2 weeks before count, guess what - it is now a "J". Hopefully justice will prevail.

Mail count stunk....im an RCA in Georgetown, TN. We went from a 48k to a 46k, after finding a couple errors that helped alot. 2 days b4 end of count we thought we were going to lose 4-5 hrs. Thanks for all the info you gather for us.

Well I count is over and the results are in. All of the routes would have lost 3 to 4 hours if we didn't find all the "errors" management made. Which 2 of the aux routes were pending on going reg in this count. They did after thorough investigation. Jesus I don't know why we have to fight everyday for every little thing.
They act like its coming out of their own pocket!!

Hope you didn't have to struggle like we did.
