Eddie Torres

About me:

Born and raised in Chicago, Eddie Torres has not only established himself as a studio producer in the Chicago, area but has been sought out from various states in North America and Caribbean Islands. Drawing on his versatile musical background and extensive musical experience both in the studio and out, Eddie puts the emphasis on recording great songs and bringing out the unique qualities in each artist he produces. Eddie’s expertise as a producer is a direct result of nearly 25 years of recording and performing as a bassist and as musical director of Praise & Worship bands in a church setting and concert settings. Having recorded with a wide range of artists & projects, (including Angel Lopez, David Rojas, Joaquin Bordoni, Ricky Simmons, David Ubeda, Telemundo TV, TCF Bank, Harley, Wandy, Jesus Enriquez, Lynn Miles and so many more) he is also able to adapt his production style to almost any musical situation. His extensive knowledge of the talent pool of musicians, and engineers enables him to instinctively make the right calls to make each project unique. In 2007 Eddie built his new art decoish recording production studio 40 minutes outside of Chicago upgrading much of his studio gear but more importantly having the studio built correctly from acoustics to esthetics. The studio consists of a lobby, live room, control room, and restroom. Phase 2 of the studio will consist of a recreation room and a kitchenette area which is currently in the works. Eddie’s choice of recording format is Protools HD, but works with various soft synth sounds and outboard gear to get that unique sound for his clients. Eddie Torres has established a reputation for hard work, integrity, and commitment in his profession as a producer and studio musician. As the future unfolds, he will continue to be put heart and soul into the cutting edge of positive music.
