“A bass-heavy, funk rock cacophony redolent of the rolling, wigged-out masterpieces of Mars Volta or Muse at their blurry, hedonistic best. Wide-screen, expansive and impressively cinematic tunes collide with adamantine-sharp riffs and the quixotic notion that rock is gloriously good fun.” - Marky G (Kerrang Magazine)

Rushing With Apathy are a completely original fusion of rock, metal and funk. Massively epic, heart-felt and always emotionally and agressively charged. We are a currently unsigned four piece from Bournemouth, England. Influences include Muse, At The Drive-In, System of a Down, Incubus and the Smashing Pumpkins.
GIG REVIEW FROM THE CLOUD 9 MUSIC FESTIVAL AT THE INFERNO:
I was intrigued by the name of Rushing with Apathy and I wasnt disappointed at all. A surreal collection of musicians with hedonistically fuelled rock riffs and eclectic, heady, sultry and very loud sound that to be honest was rather sublime indeed. The guitar and pedals were played with absolute love, care and precision by its owner, playing so gently but producing a huge and well controlled noise. What with this; Steve, surely the most passive front man Ive ever seen, who always seems to be doing something different, they really do produce something wonderful and every song is executed with a love that can be heard. They reminded me of the aftermath of a great disaster when the first bird comes out to sing, leaving you dazed and confused but knowing that everything would be ok. A raspberry ripple of a treat to the ears, they are well worth checking out. (BEE)

“For here, apart, dwells one whose hands have wrought Strange eidola that chill the world with fear: Whose graven runes in tomes of dread have taught What things beyond the star-gulf lurk and leer. Dark Lord of Averoigne–whose windows stare On pits of dream no other gaze could bear!”

Hi, BLACKLIGHT is playing at The Gander (Bournemouth Town Centre) on 25th(SUNDAY) of May. If you like our music please support us by coming down to this venue to see us live. We always give 100% professionally performed music with an amazing wall of sound. So, if you like our tracks on myspace, check us out live, we promise that you won’t be disappointed. This is the only way to help new bands like us, in our fight with all the f**king commercial sh*t which some bands call music. We believe that you will come, WE WANT YOU TO BE THERE !! Cheers, BLACKLIGHT Stay conscious, open your third eye!!!
Hey guys hows it going? Sam here from Kalidovision - what did you want to do about a drum kit for the Gander Gig? Our drummers kit is in Guildford, so if you guys wanna use that i might be able to only bring a small/medium amount of the kit down, unless you guys wanted to use your kit? That is, if you were happy with us using it too? (Our drummer would bring his own breakables etc). Im happy for you guys to use my Marshall on the night - i have a DSL stack but i may just use a smaller AVT 275 (which is just as loud! but less ego!) Thanks guys, looking forward to playing with you! Take it easy! Sam Eads
