Rushus "Nine" 2008
RUSHUS's debut-set of nine tracks is a subtle, textured instrumental album that relies much on ambient music and improvisations.
It unfolds slowly but logically, and displays a lot of inner heat with engaging and graceful guitar work, hypnotic and fluid synthesizer passes, shamanic djembe beat, and bass forging the bridge between rhythm and melody.
Nine has a wonderful fluid meditative feel, and appeals to anyone interested in melodic improvisation and composition.
Comes with artwork printed on various colored-papers (green, blue, red, yellow, etc.).
About Rushus
RUSHUS has been founded by guitarist Ilya Lipkin in the spring of 2006. Together with percussionist Evgeniy Tkachev in domestic conditions the demo-disk (7 compositions) has been written down,
containing a fair share of electronics,
atmospheric guitars and percussion.
In such structure the band has played only one concert in club "V pochete".
A little later bass player Vladimir Nikulin has joined the project.
With his arrival it has been decided to refuse temporarily from electronic back and to give larger attention to music development in style fusion and progressive. The band has performed in different Moscow clubs, and also in gallery of musical instruments Vintage Guitars, co-operated with club-restaurant "Tchai" where the special background "tea" program for the first time has been tested.
Musical experiments are conducted on a joint of ambient, art-rock, fusion-jazz-rock. Style of the band can be defined as "experimental fusion"
or a post-fusion.
I am now
recording for a new set of releases called the "Persona Series". These
cassettes will be commissioned works (not by content, but by payment)
for individuals. If John Smith in London, England wants his own Zebulon
Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one side of a 90 minute
tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the album after him
(Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain all rights to
the recording (for use of any future release, sampling, or broadcasting
rights). One copy of the album will remain in my personal collection,
and one will be sent to the customer, so that the only copy that will
be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each album is available for
the ridiculously low price of $10 (not including shipping), and will be
shipped in its completed form no later than 6 weeks from the date of
purchase!!!
