Ruslan Khain was born in 1972 in Leningrad (now St.Petersburg), Russia.
1993 - started playing the acoustic bass.
1994-1997 - attended the Mussorgsky College of Music.
1998 - he joined Gennady Goldstein's band "Saxophones of
Sankt-Petersburg".
1999 - Mr. Khain moved to New York City where he has continued to
perform as a sideman.
1999-2003 - regularly performed at Smalls Jazz Club.
2003 - worked with The Kent Glenn Big Band and Trio at Swing 46 club.
Since 2004 - regular member of Valery Ponomarev Quintet and Big Band
2007 - he recorded his own CD "Tie It In"
He currently performs with his own band at FatCat on a regular basis...check show listings for current upcoming concerts
