At 28 I am set to live out something I pretended to do when I was a little kid: I am the "Voice" of a Mid American Conference university. I am the new "Voice of the Ohio University Bobcats". Every college broadcaster hopes to be a part of a school with a great tradition, a promising future, and a loyal and passionate fan base. In coming to Athens, I will get to experience all of that and more. To the Bobcat fans who are finding out about me/hearing me for the first time, I encourage you to listen to my clips, on here and via the Bengal Broadcast Booth at ISUBengals.com, and read up on what I have done and where I have been through various articles about me on the internet. Trust me when I say, I plan on making an impact at Ohio. With the help of some wonderful people in the athletic department and at ISP, we will take coverage of the Bobcats to new heights.
Prior to coming to Ohio, I spent a wonderful/productive year as the "Voice of the Idaho State Bengals". I am proud of what myself and my broadcast team accomplished in Pocatello. Before that I was with the New Orleans Hornets and the Eugene Emeralds. Being able to be in the NBA and Minor League Baseball really was special.
Before going to the Sooner and Beaver States, I worked on the broadcasts for Southern Illinois University, Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University. I have reported, anchored, been a show host and everything in between, but my passion is calling play-by-play.
Broadcasting has taken me all over the country from West Virginia to Oregon to Idaho and Ohio. Doing that means I have to leave behind family and friends, but broadcasting is what I was born to do. Now I am very close to family and friends back in Chicago, so I look forward to seeing them more often.
Two quotes to live by: "You get the breaks you deserve." "We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time!"
This is bullshit. Move next door. Paul from Vic Koenig is ready to sell you a car. Get your ass in gear. We're buying a new home. You're in. See you soon. For realzz.
I got my Saluki Alum magazine in the mail yesterday and just a few pages after the write-up about Winston the Bagel guy... I read an insert about a young Saluki alum who had accepted work at Ohio University. Nice work!!!
You knew I was gonna do this.. I put in the newest College Football game on my PS2 and I was Ohio. We hosted the Miami Red Hawks at home. It was a rough start, a fumble at the 40 yard line, and an interception before halftime. But.. the Bobcats pulled it out at home. The final was 35-31.
The only thing missing was your passionate PBP.Good luck in the booth from Athens bro.. you are living the dream we talked about 5 years ago... living the dream!
It was a honor having you in the wedding and the kind words you spoke during the toast will last with me forever. Thanks a billion.
Mr. Eisenstein how you doing these days? Hey my parents wanted me to get in touch with you and see if you happened to still have a copy of that halftime show with my interview...if you don't its fine but i was just curious..thanks.
