Last of the Shadow Puppets | | Movies | Too difficult. Too many. Eden Lake. Lars and the Real Girl. On Golden Pond. American Beauty. Jean de Florette. Twelve Monkeys. Anything Monty Python. Nothing with Keira Knightly (unless she dies in it, with the fucking annoying pouting look on her face as she croaks). That one that one. Crash. Goodfellas. Amores Perros. And loads more. | | Television | Not much really - too busy gigging. Obviously all the stand up on Paramount and BBC: especially The World Stand's Up; The World Comedy Tour; Edinburgh & Beyond; Live at the Apollo. Summer Heights High. Dog Borstal. Dog Whisperer (I want Cesar to be my Dad). Have been known to watch X-factor then self-harm afterwards. I'm much more a radio man. Q Radio for my music, and at all other times Radio 4. Moral Maze, A Good Read, Any Questions, Open Book, News Quiz, Just a Minute etc... thank one of the gods, for Radio 4. | | Books | I love Flaubert! Madame Bovary, Bouvard & Pecuchet. Iris: The Sea, The Sea. Zola, Therese Raquin. Chambers Biographical Dictionary. Poetry by Pablo Neruda. All of the Barchester novels by the phenomenal, up-yours-to-ponces Anthony Trollope. Dickens: Our Mutual Friend. Engleby by Faulks. The Outsider, Camus. Nausea, Sartre. Gogol. Notes form the Underground by Dostoevsky. Pnin. Zadie Smith, On Beauty. Anything by the naughty Houllebecq. Oh fuck it, I can't choose. Books are so fucking brilliant. | | Heroes | William Shakespeare. Anthony Trollope. Barack Obama. Einstein. My Nan. Iris Murdoch. The Three Stooges. Terry Gilligham. Spike Milligan. Norman Wisdom. Mike Leigh. |

About me:

Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Squirell - Image Hosting
Since the age of about 8 I had this odd, loner fantasy: to become a writer and live in isolation in an ivy-clad hut. I used to steal exercise books and fill them with stories; pretend I was a novelist. My most successful work was Fatty's Diet, published by Russell Press, aged 10. Can anyone explain to me then how I'm now, as well as writing some stuff, a stand-up comic, actor, and a presenter (bit of radio and bit of telly). How fucked up is that? I'm just a shy pikey from Enfield. I had a completely normal life until 2004. It was then that I, foolishly it seemed at the time, started cracking jokes in a pub. By december 2005 I had lost my Clapham flat, my girlfriend, and the people at the office I had worked my whole life to get into, began to doubt me. Comedy took hold like some sort of benevolent cancer ('he's used an oxymoron, Ollie!") and my life fell apart for the first time into blissful, glorious, unorganised artistic disarray. I left work in 2006 and decided to go for it. Now, nearly three years on I crack gags for a living and ponce around lots of lovely people. I live on the Essex coast. My sidekicks are Cooper the dog, and cats - Keith the Burmilla and Wayne the tonkinese. They are also both comedians. They work the cat circuit.

Who I'd like to meet:
People who love mirth and music. Send new friends requests and my ego will accept. We all like to be liked, but comedians are the worst for egotistical neediness.
